Forrest Hills Mountain Resort

10/10 Excellent

"Room was a little dated but was clean. Hot water worked. Nice view and property. Friendly staff. Wish there was a community hot tub, but the pool was good. Price was fair and atmosphere was relaxing. Ac unit worked, and breakfast was excellent. Wanted to try the restaurant but it closed at 8pm. They have nice fire pits but we only stayed 1 night and didn't use them."

"This was a lovely place to stay-- once we found it. The check-in process is very unclear, even after completing the requested online check-in ahead of time. The address listed in the listing isn't the actual location of the property itself, but the office, so plan to be several miles away from where you think you'll be. Communication was terrible overall. We also didn't understand that a 10:00 check-out time meant delivering the keys to the office before that time and completing a checklist of tasks first. The property itself was wonderful. Our kids loved the loft, the scenery was great, the kitchen was well-equipped, and we would absolutely go back again -- especially now that we know where it is and can skip the hour of confusion about how to get keys and find the property. If the owners offered better communication in advance and better service on the phone, this would have been the perfect stay."

"we enjoyed our stay at the best Western and Ellijay, Georgia. However, we were not aware of the pool and hot tub being under renovation until after we had paid for our room. Also, we were unaware of them, not having an elevator, which would normally not be a big deal however, one of our guest had recently hurt their back and it was difficult for them to walk up and down the stairs. The staff was amazing, There breakfast was really good. And it's an amazing view."

"worst part of this visit was the man behind the counter. Not caring and very dismissive. Seemed to have a negative attitude towards women as he did not treat the women in my party with much respect or attentiveness at all. What little he did for me was borderline rude. If just for him, this would be rated at 2 star or less... The saving grace was the cleaning staff and the daytime desk person. Extremely attentive and noted that members of my group were accessibility challenged. She then asked if we wanted one of our rooms moved to the ground floor as there was no elevator. This was a HUGE benefit for my group as stairs are challenging for our group. The cleaning staff was amazing! Tomy was extremely attentive and approachable. She and her partner moved everything for my party from the second floor room to the ground floor room placing everything in the exact same spots. So friendly and helpful, by far the best part of our stay."
