It is on a private five-acre forested parcel in contrast to sister Marblemount property Rainbow House's open pasture and expansive views. Fully landscaped with a park-like feel. Surrounded by bucolic pastures, guests can stroll to the edge of the property while contemplating the grazing cattle and spectacular views of Mount Diobsud and the North Cascades—if not actually hiking among them!

The pictures do not do the Rhody House justice! It was such a charming, well equipped, and comfortable cabin, despite being in a remote area. The Rhody House is the perfect place to explore harder to get to places in North Cascades National Park, including the Cascade Pass area. We were very impressed with how fast the wifi was, and we loved how peaceful and quiet the cabin was. I can see why it stays booked up! We will definitely try to stay here again if we come back to the North Cascades area. Thanks to Steve for being such a fantastic host and sharing his amazing cabin with visitors!

Likely one of the nicest rental properties I have ever been in! Just a lovely place, well maintained, well appointed. And the location in the North Cascades is great.

We spent four nights here and loved it. The cabin is cozy and very functional as well. Having a real kitchen is nice. It is far enough back from the road to be quiet. Several evenings we sat on the porch with a beer. You are right there at North Cascades; it is a great hiking base. The only real negative is that Marblemount is very small, having only a couple of restaurants, and being 20 miles from a full grocery store (plan accordingly). I would recommend this place to anyone.

Secluded Comfort

We came to hike the North Cascades. Most of our original choices were unavailable due to fire, but Rhody House is only an hour from Mount Baker trailheads as well! Cabin had everything we needed, and more! Very comfortable beds after long hikes. Plan to return next summer :)

Wonderful getaway in the trees

Even though the wildfires shut down most of the National Park, we still had the most fantastic time at this cabin. The host was so communicative and recommended other hikes nearby and also texted to check on us when the power briefly went out during the night. We will definitely be back to this cozy cabin.

This property is in a great location. It was secluded, but also close to a couple of restaurants, a small grocery, a coffee barn, and a gas station. It’s very clean and well appointed. A perfect home base for exploring the park. We missed the season for the rhododendrons, but enjoyed watching deer from the front porch!

Great Location

We loved the location of this cabin for access to North Cascades National Park and Rockport State Park. It was very private yet convenient to restaurants and gas stations in Marblemount. We saw deer in the yard several mornings. The cabin is even better than the photos indicate. We thoroughly enjoyed our week there and Steve was very helpful with local information. Definitely would stay there again.

Peaceful and convenient setting

A very clean and spacious cabin/house with total privacy. Easy access from the highway and close to the NCNP and hiking trails. Owner is easily accessible if there are any issues. Kitchen is stocked with all appliances and cookware needed-however bring any foods/spices/etc as there is only S&P available at the cabin. Recommended for a long term accommodations.

Lovely cabin in the woods

This cabin is by far one of the best we’ve ever stayed in through VRBO. Clean, well appointed, comfortable bed, nice shower, everything we need in the kitchen, etc. Nice to sit in the porch and enjoy the peaceful, beautiful setting without being eaten alive by mosquitoes! Close to NCNP and the perfect place to start/end our days. Steve was super way to work with. Highly recommend.

Beautiful North Cascades Hideaway

Beautifully finished cabin, set back off the road, very quiet and secluded. Steve, our host stayed in touch with us in the weeks prior to our arrival as there were several wildfires active in the area. It was great to have first hand updates to plan our hikes. The cabin was spotless and had everything we needed. Thanks for the great stay Steve!

Your own paradise by North Cascades National Park!

Very nice property, nicely appointed and had everything that we needed. The property was secluded and tucked-away from the road with a long private driveway and gate. Great Wi-Fi with over 200 MB download speeds. Went to the nearby Mondo Restaurant for lunch and was surprised to see quite a bit of Korean food on the menu...food was excellent. There is so much to see and explore at North Cascades National Park and this cabin is the perfect "launching point" for your adventures in the area! We hope to stay there again, next time we are in the area.

A great experience every time

We've so enjoyed our three stays at Rhody House! The beautifully decorated cabin with its wonderful woodwork is cozy, comfortable, super-clean and very well-equipped. Steve, the host, is a great communicator who works hard to provide a great experience. The modern cabin is located in a peaceful rural setting with lots of privacy and large grounds (a bonus this time the large rhodies were very pretty in their blooms; in late August the blackberries are abundant around the property). Rhody House is a great base for exploring Newhalem and the North Cascades. Nearby Rockport and Rasar State Parks have impressive old growth forest walks/hikes as well. We will be back!

We loved this cabin!

We loved our 4 night stay at the Rhody House. So comfortable. Great kitchen with everything you need. Plenty of towels too. Such a quiet, peaceful lot! We wanted to hike at the North Cascades National Park, and this was a great location with a few restaurants nearby, and a store for some groceries and a gas station. The pictures don't do it justice. It's really beautiful. We enjoyed it so much that our last day, we canceled our plans to hike and just stayed at Rhody House and relaxed. It was awesome! If we are ever in the area again, we would definitely stay there again. Also, it was spotless! Super clean. Highly recommend.

Great property

Great stay! Close to North Cascades visitor center, which was the reason for our trip. Kids loved staying at the “cabin” and seeing black tailed deers and coyotes right outside!
