"Good things: swimming pool and hot tub, spacious for 12 of us. The lake at Coco plage is lovely. Not so good: no responses to my messages before our stay therefore confusion over bed linen. The property is not clean. There is grime everywhere. Needs a deep clean. Very small cooking area. Grass needed cutting. Very limited activities in the area. Spent too much time in super u because there was not much else to do. Towns and villages are deserted, shops closed and markets consist of about five...

"J'ai séjourné pendant le dernier pont de mai chez Louise et son mari. Ils sont tellement adorables ! Moindre souci : elle y remédie ! La piscine est accessible toute la journée sans souci! Le p'tit point noir : le jacuzzi qui mériterait d'être nettoyé régulièrement car la saleté remonte à la surface de l'eau quand il y a des bulles le fait qu'il ne chauffait pas plus de 30 - pas génial pour un jacuzzi mais sinon tout bien "

"L’accueil des propriétaires a été très agréable et ils étaient disponibles pour nos questions. La maison est bien équipée et pratique. Le jardin est très bien. Il est clos comme indiqué sur l’annonce, cependant attention pour les gens avec de gros chiens, les clôtures ne sont pas très hautes (moins de 1m). Le propriétaire nous a donné de très bons conseils de visite. Les randonnées depuis le centre du village sont supers. Vraiment excellent sejour."

"Another excellent stay at the hotel, the location is quite, plenty of parking available, we had a 5.5 metre van and were able to park it easily and safely. The room was a good sized and an opportunity to take the waters too. Staff friendly. Bagnoles has a number of good Restaurants but they eat early (19.00 to 19:30) booking. "

"Our host at Au Fer à Cheval was Romain, a friendly and helpful man. He owns about 20 English thoroughbred race horses, as well as breeds them. His farm is in a beautiful location with lovely views. It was unfortunately cold and wet for the two nights that we were there, so we couldn't use the pool, and the roads were too slippery for him to take us out in his horse-drawn carriage, but we did see two of his retired racing mares with their foals. Our room was comfortable and clean, good shower, and a small kitchenette. It's a good idea to take your own tea, coffee and milk with you. Continental breakfast was good and delivered to our room at the time we requested. A good guide book in English of what to do in the area was left in our room, but perhaps the only disadvantage of the place is that it is quite isolated and a long way from any any restaurants. Overall, a lovely place, and we'd recommended it."

"We booked this as we are cycling with 2 electric bikes. We arrived ridiculously late but it was t an issue.Reception staff very welcoming! We were able to take our bikes into the room( thank - you!). A budget experience….but was clean, great facilities and the best breakfast ( I am gluten-free….. and there wasGF cereal, rice pudding ,fruit… all my faves. A great stay…. Thank you😁"

"There was nobody on reception when we arrived on reception at approximately 3:30 p.m. We then realised that we had to pick a telephone up on the reception desk that rang somebody. A grumpy lady then came to check us in. The restaurant staff were lovely and helpful and the gentleman we paid was very helpful. The hotel is old and needs freshening up. It looks dirty and run down on the landings"
