"We can fully recommend Charnay Plaisance! The main house is beautiful (some renovation work is ongoing but is unobtrusive); our room was very comfortable; breakfast was very good; the swimming pool was fantastic and the welcome we received (from reception staff and from the owner and his wife) was very warm and friendly. "Really beautiful eco friendly property, though it is not in a location that you can easily get to. I’d recommend renting a car when staying in this property. Spa should be booked ahead of time as it was fully booked during our stay. Need at least 2 days stay to enjoy all the amenities, and get the feel of the place. Room is nice and clean, though I don’t believe there is ventilation in the restroom."

"I travel a lot! This was by far the best hotel I have ever experienced. I was honestly blown away from the minute I arrived until I walked out the door. The staff was EXCEPTIONAL!! The food and drinks were exceptional and the view was incredible. This hotel is worth every penny and then some! I am extremely impressed "

"We wrote to the hotel that we should arrive after 21:00....no response or check-in arrangements were sent to us. We got there at 22:30 and the self check in machine was down....so no help. Eventually some guy / staff member appeared from nowhere.... First he said our booking is not real.... despite giving him my printed reservation and booking number.... despite being paid already! Then we managed to get a room. The guy refused to validate our room for wifi and said to use the visitor option instead. When we did that, the option required a French mobile phone number.... so we had no wifi. Incredible. The room had a bathroom door with no handles, etc, etc....never again here.... "
