The Country Cottage

This is a unique and beautiful rustic old mud-brick cottage only 5 minutes drive from town centre.

The cottage is down a winding gravel drive nestled in amongst a rambling garden full of birds kangaroos and the occasional possum.

This unique open plan cottage has an open aired garden bathroom, a huge book collection covering a large variety of genres, board games and puzzles. It has a fully equipped kitchen and fireplace for winter.

Margaret River is in the heart of the famous wine, surf and mountain bike riding region.
Fun can be found for everyone with breathtaking beaches, great wineries and breweries, bushland, bike tracks, river walks, restaurants and more.

Stay in Margaret River

Was a lovely stay, pleanty big enough even for five people. The location was perfect, being so close to town but feeling so rural at the same time. Was a lovely stay would highly recommend.

Margaret River Serenity

Enjoyed staying in quiet and spacious holiday home. Nice to have a fire place for the colder nights. Host treated us with chocolates, herbs and wine.

Great relaxing place to unwind!

Close to town centre, felt like home-sitting with stocked pantries and all cooking utensils and facilities, couldn't be more satisfied, great hosts, we'll be back!

Cool layout of sleeping arrangements, many facilities like most items you need in the kitchen, full laundry, large fridge, loungeroom, outdoor lounge, dining and three piece bathroom. Extra soaps, towels and firewood available. You pretty much only need to pack your clothes and personal items. Very impressed with how equipped the cottage is. A home away from home.

Digney getaway

Loved it stayed with hubby and 2 dogs lots of kangaroos so have to keep them on lead very eclectic cottage and authentic 3 mins from town but like your in middle of knowhere bathroom could be dodgy if disabled or just bit old like me

Super choice

Cosy and Peaceful

We had a lovely stay, the fire was perfect, bed very comfortable and the lounges were awesome! Was a little worried about the indoor/outdoor bathroom but it was actually really lovely and the shower steamy hot! Will definitely stay again!

Nice holiday stay

We stayed at a lovely cottage for two days with our family. The location only 4 min drive to shops and restaurants.The house was very clean when we arrived and Wi-Fi worked well.The bedrooms were comfortable and had enough space for us.And Emily is so quick at responding my messages.We had a great time!

The location of the house was amazing. The house though, is cold. Sadly the pot-belly stove had a severe blockage that led to the house filling with smoke and leaving it unusable, so multiple layers of clothing were needed for an average sleep. At best. PLEASE SERVICE THE FIREPLACE….

Back to nature

A short drove from town but feels totally rural and close to nature. Kangaroos, birds and close to forest trails. Loved the outdoor shower and shelves of books, great coffee and plenty of staples. My son loved hanging out in the trees and exploring with the hosts young daughter - and loved the free dogs and apples we were kindly gifted. Comfy beds and plenty of space. We will be back!

Excellent for the very reasonable price

We really enjoyed our stay in this peaceful but very convenient cottage. Emily was very helpful and welcoming. The main bed is very comfortable, and cotton sheets a real bonus! It is fixed to the wall, which is slightly less convenient. We were unsure about the open bathroom, but actually enjoyed using it. Winter might be a bit different.

Lovely place that feels really cosy

We spent 5 wonderful days at this property. We had initially some concerns about the outdoor shower given the winter temperatures outside but we came to love it! Water was hot and plentiful and the atmosphere incomparable. We felt really at home, perhaps also because of the little library with a great selection of books. Hopefully we will be back.

A haven from the rain - and there was plenty of that. I hadn't read about the outdoor bathroom and that was a surprise .... but enjoyed the Bali feeling and the little bird on the nest. No WiFi was a bit of anuisance

Amazing!

This beautiful little hideaway is everything I wanted and more, more spacious than in the photos, and so well equipped, there is a TV and DVD player (love it that my teenagers rummaged through the DVDs to find a film to watch, they thought it was half the fun! The fire was packed and ready to go when we got there, and the beds were so comfy. The bathroom was awesome! A hideaway and semi-outdoors. All facilities were available, a cooker, washing machine and dryer, all came with supplies, cooking was a breeze, and many essentials were already in the kitchen. My favourite was the main outside decking, two rocking chairs....very comfy!... with a coffee table, overlooking the nature-filled garden.This was such a lovely and well-needed break, thank you.

We had such a great time at this quiet home in the beautiful Margaret River. It is set on a huge block with kangaroos everywhere which our girls loved. I loved the open fire, and the lovely bottle red left by the hosts. Thankyou so much Emily! If we find ourselves back in the Margaret we would love to stay at your place again!
