"Nice loft with high ceiling situated right by the port and the business district with many waterfront restaurants and shopping stores. It is also very close to the main bus station to Agios Nikolaos/Heraklion. The check-in process was very smooth and easy. "

"This is a charming ,clean, well furnished cottage. Tucked away in its own olive grove and garden area. Hands on family operated. Eastern Crete is quite with some beaches within droving distance. And Minoan ruins abound. I highly recommend this place. And the chocolate cake awaiting us was a welcome touch !"

"Lovely welcome, polite staff. We had a room upgrade to a sea view which was nice. Breakfast was plentiful but as it was end of season the bread rolls and croissants were very dry. The fruit had swarms of fruit flies so we decided not to bother, but there were other options. The pool area looked nice and clean with lots of seating options. It was very quiet, possibly we were there on their last open weekend, not sure. Sound proofing wasn’t good In the bedroom, we could hear a man talking loudly either in the next room or in the corridor around midnight. I’m sure that in the height of the season it is a very different experience. Having said that the beds were comfortable and there was plenty of hot water. We don’t think it merits the 5* rating. "

"The Old Pomegranate House was an enchanting place to stay. Views of the bay, beautiful sunsets and a cozy, well appointed, clean space to call home. Perfectly located to explore Eastern Crete. Recommendations from our hosts were detailed and really enhanced our trip. They also left us delicious feta, and local tomatoes and cucumbers- we feasted on these for breakfast our entire stay. We hope to return some day! "

"We had a wonderful stay at Agrilos House. The property is tastefully furnished, has very comfortable beds, a well equipped kitchen and great bathroom shower. The house has a spacious terrace with commanding views of the mountains and coastline, although a large tree does unfortunately get in the way of the amazing sea view. The host (Despina) was easy to contact and provided information about the property and area in advance of our visit. We were also left a very generous welcome basket of local produce, which was a lovely touch. Myrsini is a small village set on the main road to Sitia, so there is occasional traffic noise, but it is not constant or too intrusive. Otherwise the location is peaceful and a real plus point is the village has a mini mart/coffee shop and a quaint taverna (Kathodon) only a couple of minutes walk from the house. "

"We had an amazing stay at Villa Estia, set just a short drive from Makry Gialos in a peaceful hillside location. The villa offered everything we needed for a relaxing family holiday and then some!The views were truly breathtaking—rolling hills, sea glimpses, and beautiful sunsets right from the terrace. The pool was a standout feature for us. It was perfect for both younger children and adults, with a great layout and plenty of space to swim or cool off. There were also plenty of shaded areas around the pool and outdoor seating, which was ideal for escaping the midday sun without having to head inside.Inside, the air-conditioning worked flawlessly throughout the villa—powerful, quiet, and consistent. The bedrooms were spacious and comfortable, and there was a great sense of privacy and calm throughout. We especially enjoyed the dining spaces both indoors and out—perfect for big family meals or laid-back breakfasts with a view. There are many lovely places to see in a hire car and easily fell your time up on the island. Overall, we had a fantastic stay. Villa Estia is peaceful, well-equipped, and an excellent choice for families or groups looking to relax, unwind, and enjoy the beauty of Crete. We’d absolutely stay again!"
