Beautiful setting while relaxing in a beautiful home!

We loved our stay at the lodge! We came to the area for our son’s wedding in a neighboring town and SO glad we found this place. Our family had plenty of space to spread out and relax on the beautiful patio. Well stocked kitchen and everything was squeaky clean. We appreciated the extra blankets and attention to every detail. Would highly recommend!!

Peaceful and Attentive

The best stocked vrbo i have been to! Lots of cookware Tupperware and the softest linens. Peaceful and beautiful with a very thoughtful and attentive host!! I highly recommend this getaway. The yard and home are beautiful and exceeded my expectations.

Such a beautiful and relaxing stay

We absolutely loved our stay at the White Squirrel Lodge, and fully intent to visit again for a longer stay sometime. The whole property was gorgeous, and the host, Gayle, was the absolute sweetest and made us feel very welcomed. The house was stocked and equipped with everything you could possibly need! And I mean EVERYTHING, from board games to kitchen appliances and everything in between. We couldn’t have asked for a better stay :)

Wedding Weekend

We came down for a wedding but added a few extra days on. The home was truly a HOME The setting was extremely relaxing and allowed me time to recharge. My M-I-l made the wedding cake and the kitchen in the home was perfect for this. It is a huge kitchen with plenty of space to gather.

This is a beautiful home! The kitchen made it easy to feed our family when needed. The basement made it easy to coral my kid I. The morning before the sun was up and they loved getting to see all the wildlife close up.

Spacious Home

This home is perfect for multiple families. Our two daughters and their husband were planning to attend; however, only one was able to make the trip with her 16 year old son. The home was perfect as they took the upstairs bedrooms and my husband and I had the master suite. The home is quite spacious and the yard is gorgeous.

More of an experience than a stay

We experienced a lot of God’s creations at this location to include the white squirrels and birds of many varieties. The owners clearly love the property and I was so glad to get to meet her during our stay. We got to hear some of the history of the place and it explained why it felt more like a home than a VRBO. The outside spaces are beautiful and peaceful while the inside feels comfortable. Everything was well stocked and organized. We chose this house for the kitchen because my daughter was doing a cake for a family wedding. We walked away with an appreciation of nature. The owners clearly spend time maintaining everything and filling bird feeders to enhance the experience. We will never stay in a hotel again when visiting family if this place is available. The only downside is that it far enough out in the country that you will not be able to have anything delivered. This was a benefit to me, but be aware of that when planning meals. Walmart is only 15 minutes away, but no delivery.

The house and location was great for the wedding near Marionville. Even got to see two white squirrels. Hosts communication was great and left a basket of snacks. Would stay here again!

We enjoyed our trip over the 4th of July. The town put on a great show that was recommended by the host. The wildlife on the property was fun to watch. It was a great little get away. There was plenty of space for our family to spread out as well as spaces for us to be together. There are a lot more things we want to do in the area next time we visit.
