We stayed at the Cozy Bear Hollow for several days in early October while visiting Yosemite. We loved the cabin -- it was very clean and nicely decorated with high quality furnishings and Western decor (with many nods to bears), had very comfortable beds, and had a beautiful, fully stocked kitchen. We loved the peace and quiet in the evening, punctuated late at night by the occasional yipping of coyotes, and the view of the stars from the back porch was lovely. This part of California was experiencing a heat wave during our stay (highs near 100) -- fortunately the air conditioning worked very well. The cabin was convenient to Yosemite (well, as convenient as it can be when you are not actually staying in the park), and the little town of Mariposa was very quaint. We enjoyed several of the restaurants in Mariposa -- the 1850 Restaurant, Hideout Saloon, and Happy Burger Diner. Owner Victoria was an absolute pleasure to work with, and check in was very easy. We would definitely stay here again if we return to Yosemite, and would highly recommend to friends and family.

We had a great time watching movies and walking around the neighboring area. The property was very comfortable and just as described, and it was easy to find as well. The town where the property is located has a nice downtown area with great restaurants, pharmacies, and other amenities. We’d recommend this spot to anyone looking for a quiet place for their vacation.

We sincerely enjoyed your home!! The beds were super comfy. The owner quickly responded to our messages. The hot tub is cozy for 4 adults but doable, the clubhouse is smaller than expected as well as the pool table was not full size, but the guys had fun. The kitchen was fairly well stocked, could use some updated frying pans for sure., but we again managed. We would stay again for sure. This house made a great home for our long weekend!!

Very nice house for our visit to Yosemite. Beds were extremely comfortable. Enjoyed the deck area for winding down in the evening after a long day at the park. Owner (Victoria) was very sweet & helpful. Mariposa is just down the road. Lots of restaurants to choose from. The pictures of the house are what you will get. No surprises. Thanks for a wonderful 3 nights.

My wife and I stayed here for two nights. It was an amazing stay. It is in a very quiet area with a good cozy feel to the place. The hot tub was perfect for relaxing in after a day of hiking.

Name and listing is accurate! Everything you need as far as amenities. Loved the hot tub after all day at Yosemite, which is very close (about 45 min). Showers/tub bit dated but okay. Could use a bit of tlc on the outside.

Cozy bear hollow is just like the name describes; cozy. It was perfect for our family of four who were visiting Yosemite. The house was clean, plenty of linens and towels provided. The only drawback is the driveway, its not paved so you have to go slow especially in the dark. We were able to spot some wild hares near the house and the kids really enjoyed that. We'll definitely come back again!

Place is just perfect for a weekend getaway. Very cozy and intimate. Has everything we needed, bbq, hot tub, kitchen, 2 bedroomS, 2 Bathrooms... Hosts very easy to connect with too. Would definitely recommend to everyone staying around Yosemite

Really fits the description as a perfect "Cozy" getaway after a long day in the park. We treated ourselves to this retreat after conquering Half Dome and truly appreciated the Jacuzzi! Plenty of space for everyone and appreciated the full kitchen and dining room to enjoy a great meal together. The heater worked wonderfully. Will definitely recommend to all our friends coming to Mariposa!

What a perfect little hideaway for those traveling to Yosemite. The home is perfectly decorated and so warm and welcoming. Everything was lovely! Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Rooms and bathrooms were spacious and clean. Living room was large and comfortable. The kitchen was not only big, but had every utensil, bowl and cooking implement that we could imagine. We loved sitting on the deck and the hot tub was relaxing. We were delighted with our stay and plan to return. We have already referred other family members and friends.

Victoria responded quickly with directions and tips to get to the place. She was also super helpful to assist with extending our stay when I entered the dates wrong. We were so pleased with our stay and the accommodations at Cozy Bear Hollow. It was private and had everything we needed to relax after day hikes in Yosemite (which was pretty close!). Everyone slept comfortably. Such a pleasant experience with cozy touches everywhere. I would recommend Cozy Bear Hollow to anyone looking to come out this way!

We had a wonderful experience at the Cozy Bear Hollow! Beautiful house and wonderful service by Victoria! We definitely recommend to anyone that would want an easy place to stay near Yosemite or for a cozy, fun getaway for the weekend! The house has everything you need and allows dogs. Our stay at cozy bear was delightful. We loved the place and will probably be back in the summer. It has everything we needed outside of some olive oil, we picked up coffee and some food to cook. The book she has there explained a lot. That was nice. The restaurants in town were great and there’s a grocery store and rite aid. It was about an hour to Yosemite. Yosemite was beautiful. We saw deer and loved the cooler weather and having coffee ☕️ in the morning. A lot of beauty to take in. Nice quiet time reflecting and reading. Thank you Victoria. Hope to stay again. As our trip to the Yosemite park was the highlight of family gathering, I only wanted to get the perfect place for us. And this place couldn't be more right. It had everything we wanted -- a kitchen that even had a rice cooker (since my parents always needed rice for their meal), nice dining table, clean bathrooms and a hot tub outside. We were just so happy that we stayed here. Would recommend to friends and family when they are planning to visit Yosemite area.

Cozy bear is a fantastic place to stay in. Five star for the location. The house is Well prepped and maintained. Everything was prepared for our comfort. My family enjoyed their stay there very much. Victoria the owner was very nice , informative and helpful. If I have to go back I will definitely consider this place again

My friends and I rented this cabin for our Yosemite vacation. It was the perfect place to stay and it was very comfortable. I would definitely recommend staying here if you're traveling to Yosemite. It's roughly about an hour from there but it was worth the drive!

House is not large but was perfectly adequate for our party of four. The hot tub was pretty great and the porch was very nice. Nothing fancy on the inside but a great place to stay when exploring nearby Yosemite.

We had a great time at the cozy bear. It's much larger than we expected. It was a bit warm during our stay so the air conditioner really came in handy. Would definitely book again when we return to Yosemite!

About 1 hour from Yosemite Valley. Nice place - clean, user friendly. Quiet area with actual darkness at night for fabulous star watching. large deck, great bird watching, large master bedroom - comfortable bed. Thanks very much.

Everything was clean and comfortable. Large space for our family of 6. We found it great thanks to the clear directions Victoria provided. It seemed like a long drive from Yosemite (we visited the park, stayed the night, then drove back to the park) but was the closest we could find for a last-minute stay. We enjoyed the feeling of being away from everything though, and the house was definitely well stocked and a great place to stay. It was nice to have shampoo/conditioner, etc. in a VRBO.

We really enjoyed staying at Cozy Bear Hollow - they have thought of everything to make one's stay wonderful. Everything was very clean on arrival. The kitchen was old, but had every utensil we needed, there were plenty of board games for the evening, and also a cooler, picnic set, binoculars, frisbee, etc for our use as well. So thoughtful! We appreciated the washer/dryer to wash our dirty hiking clothes at the end of the trip. We did not get a chance to use the hot tub (too hot!), but that's a nice amenity as well. The master bed was very comfortable, and the heavy curtains make the place quite dark, so it was easy to sleep in. :) Our time was spent in Yosemite Nat'l Park - it was a good 45 min drive to the park entrance, another 15 or so after that to Yosemite Valley. We mainly cooked in the house, but did go to pizza at Mariposa Pizza Factory and would recommend that as a dining option in the town. You won't regret staying here!

First of all, let me state that we only stayed here one evening. We needed a place to sleep for the night as we traveled south. When I started looking for possible places to stay, I was shocked that I couldn't find any hotels that met our criteria. We needed two bedrooms for one night that would also accommodate our puppy. So I started looking at VRBO and low and behold, Grace Oak's Cozy Bear Hollow showed up as meeting all of our criteria...including a single night stay! The beds were comfy, there was coffee for us to brew in the morning and it was peaceful and quiet. What more could we have asked for? Victoria was more then accommodating and bent over backwards to ensure that our late night arrival and early morning departure were stress free. If we ever need to stay in the area again, Grace Oak's Cozy Bear Hollow will be on the top of our list!

It's a rustic cute place, loved it. It was super cold and snowing but still we jumped in to the jaccuzi and enjoyed it. They have a play room, which is great. We had a problem with heater, and we called ken and victoria , it was christmas eve but yet Ken showed up with extra portable heater and he fixed the heater for us. we will definitley book this property again. Thank you Ken and Victoria we realy enjoyed our stay.

My girlfriend and I stayed here for two nights recently. We were very grateful for how easy and well prepared everything was with our stay. Beautiful property that feels very private and homey. We were lucky enough to see some wildlife, and had a great time just hanging around at Cozy Bear. Would definitely return here if revisiting Yosemite!

We spent 2 nights at Cozy Bear Hollow in late September. The house was very clean and comfortable. The owners were easy to communicate with. What I liked most about this home were the little things, candies on your pillow, binoculars by the door, wildlife outside the door, convenient to town. I would stay here again and I would recommend this to friends.
