This stay was great, the animals were super friendly and fun to hang around, the fire was awesome after spending the day in yosemite along with the grill to cook dinner, the kitchen was super stocked and wade and becky were super friendly! would highly recommend staying here we had a great time.

I loved our stay. The house was clean, kitchen had plenty of pots, pans, dishes in order to cook meals. Open space to gather with family, the farm animals are friendly and fun to interact with. I would definitely recommend.

We enjoyed our stay very much. It was a peaceful place to rest. Getting to Yosemite from the location was easy. My girls thoroughly enjoyed playing with all of the animals. We appreciated the use of a washer and dryer on the property as well.

We thoroughly enjoyed the stay. Host were really helpful and welcoming.The farm animals were so friendly especially the dog and cat. Host set up the campfire for us and it was a beautiful and calm place to do star gazing.Kids will definitely love the place bcoz of the animals.Highly recommended

Great place to stay as a base for Yosemite. Booked for a family trip during spring break with my adult and teenage kids. The main room was nice and open, lots of light and a whole house fan helped cool the place down when needed. Was able to cook several meals with the provided items in the kitchen, no in sink garbage disposal so food scraps have to go in trash. Everything was as advertised, nice quiet spot to relax in between treks. Also the farm animals (mainly donkeys) gave it an extra cozy feel. Host was very friendly, made sure we didn't have any issues and gave us more info on the animals. Would definitely recommend and stay again.

Successful Yosemite Trip

Me and 5 others arrived here on the 13th. We were immediately greeted by Mr Gibson who gave us a tour of the property! Got to see the Emu, the Water Buffalo and her Calf, all 5 donkeys, the Cat orangie, and of course their awesome Dog. Incredible stay and the place was super clean. Very it is about an hour drive from the south entrance to Yosemite. Great location! Thank you for the stay!

Wonderful!

We truly enjoyed our stay at this property! We stayed with 3 generations: my parents, my partner and I, and our 2 year old twins. The house itself was clean and well-equipped, and the hosts were so lovely and communication was top notch. We were given a tour of the property and all of the host's animals on the day we arrived, and we had lovely visitors of a cat, donkeys, goat, sheep, and dogs every day (which my 2 year old twins absolutely loved!) It was a great location from which to explore Yosemite - we did Mariposa Grove and swimming nearby, followed by Tunnel View and Bridalveil falls the following day, both 1-1.5 hours away. The hosts were very responsive to any questions, and the rural location was quiet and private. We will definitely stay again if ever in the area!

This place is amazing. The pictures don't do it justice. The coolest rental. When I wasn't spending my time wandering around Yosemite or the Sierra National Forest I spent my time wandering around the beautiful property grounds. I sat in random places and got to know the animals. This rental was the best. So peaceful yet so fulfilling. I don't often return to places, but I really hope to come back. I will stay again in a heartbeat. Super clean, very spacious and you get to borrow not just this hidden gem, but their furry family also! Don't hesitate to book this rental. The hosts were both very friendly but very much gave my my privacy. Everything was perfect.

We had a fantastic farm stay! The host was very friendly! Ensured we had everything we needed! Showed us around the area! Let the kids feed daily with him! Adorable place, we cant wait to come back. Waking up to all the animal sounds was amazing and the hosts are so sweet and more than accommodating and helpful. Thier farm dog and cat quickly became our best friends and the cat even slept with us one night sense we left the dog door open. We loved petting the donkeys and feeding them carrots we brought from home. We will absolutely be back with the kids soon!

This cottage is so clean and cozy, and it's on a farm with 3 water buffaloes, a pot-bellied pig, 2 emus, a sheep, a show goat, a flock of guinea fowl, 8 donkeys, 3 dogs and an orange cat. All the animals are so friendly and some of the donkeys, dogs, and cat are allowed to roam freely around the property. Wade and Becky are very cordial and want very much for their guests to enjoy their stays, and it shows with their hospitality and attention to detail. Wade took us around the property in his four-wheel Polaris off-roader, and we even visited some of the neighbors' properties and introduce ourselves. We booked this property as a base for our visit to Yosemite National Park and it worked out very well, as its equidistant from both the southern and western entrances. I highly recommend a stay at this Yosemite Foothills cottage, as you get both comfortable accommodations as well as a taste of simple farm life.

What a fun farm to stay at! Donkeys, water buffalo, emus, guinea and some more common animals. Wade took us around with his four wheeler! Cabin itself is peaceful, comfortable beds, otherwise simple. The grill was great. Entrance to El Portal entrance of Yosemite was about a one-hour drive.
