"Decent hotel and did a great job for one night "

"Reception staff very welcoming. Hotel very old and carpets very threadbear in halls and stairs. Bathroom had stain on flooring and there was mildew on bath/shower mat. No plugs by bedside . Mattress very lumpy "

"Great venue for spa day,golf day,or bargain friend get-together stay. Handy for Chester and Delamere. Rooms could do with upgrade ( 1 wall heater so no winter break !!) Cleanliness was average.Staff were fine. Breakfast they claim would be £24 if room only: go B&B! -not worth £24 or £12. Breakfast organisation was not the best - no side plates,butter -so that needs looking at. The restaurant is pleasant but food very expensive for what you get - I advise going into Tarporley in the evening. Gold course looks first rate and you can walk round.Pool is big and spa treatment was recommended by my friend. Facilities 9/10 ; Room 6/10 ( good size) ; food was godd but sparse for price 6/10"

"Nice spacious but dated room. No window as only French doors so had to wedge open to let air in. Shower was great. Breakfast nice enough. Not sure I’d want to be there when it was busy tho "

"I only really used this place as a stop off, but the room itself was a lovely size and comfortable. The only thing I’ve marked down on is the price of the products in the reception area. Save yourself a few quid and walk to the Tesco nearby!"

"This is the second of recent stays we have been in very dated rooms, first visit no hot water and this time the cold water tap on the bath didn't work at all! Spoke to manangement who said we should have called maintenance, however at 7.30am and with 2 dogs who would bark and wake other guests not a considerate option! should have worked in the first place! Manager did suggest he would contact me after we left but so far he has not! Not sure we will stay again now, very disappointing as we have stayed there many times in the past!"
