Thank you for a wonderful stay while visiting our son at NMU. We loved everything about the home it was comfortable, well-equipped, and gave us plenty of space to enjoy meaningful family time and a homemade dinner together.
This charming Victorian house was a joy to stay in with our 2 families. The home is full of character & well taken care of. The location is excellent—within walking distance to breweries, coffee shops, and more. The owners were very attentive, even clearing the driveway quickly during a blizzard. I would highly recommend this house to anyone looking for charm, comfort, and a great location.
The Hewitt Onion Tower home is a spacious home that brings in the charm of Marquette while providing the luxuries of a 5-star hotel! There is plenty of room for family and guest alike to relax and be comfortable. The bathrooms are modern; the beds are comfortable and that bathtub is perfect for a warm soak after a long, cold day exploring all that winter in Marquette has to offer. We stayed for the December NMU Wildcat Graduation Weekend, and it was a perfect location to celebrate our daughter's graduation with close proximity to bars and restaurants, as well as the University.
Our stay here was nothing but fabulous! Great location to restaurants and breweries. Wendy meet us at the house at check in and explained everything to us. Would definitely stay here again!
Couldn’t of asked for a better place to stay. Our group was up for a wedding and the house was in a perfect location! Wendy was amazing to communicate with and helped us anyway she could!
Everything about this home, the host and each detail was amazing. We are already talking about when we can go again. Cannot say enough good things. Amazing host and property
The most beautiful and cozy house! We had a blast and loved that it was walkable to all the shops, food, beach, etc. plus it was only a 10 minute drive to the big grocery stores. It was a family trip so there were 8 adults plus 3 kids under 2. Plenty of space for everyone. We would absolutely visit again and will recommend this house and host to anyone visiting Marquette! Thank you again for the best visit!
We had a wonderful staybhere and the amenities exceeded our expectations. There was more than enough comfortably spaces for all 8 of us to relax and enjoy.
The home was beautiful-even better than the pictures represented. It's location is perfect with easy access to quaint Third Street and downtown, but also close to the beach! We had a wonderful stay with great recommendations of best places to eat and have fun!
Thanks to the host for their friendliness and beautiful home!
Fantastic! Great location. House was very well equipped with all items needed for our stay. We would definitely recommend this property. Wendy was very easy to communicate with and offered up suggestions on things to do.
We rented the Hewitt Onion for 3 families including six kiddos and it was perfect! Plenty of room and Wendy had a fun scavenger hunt game for the one rainy day we had. The kitchen is well stocked and having the host next door was great for any random questions.
second time staying at the Onion (not the last). lots of thoughtful amenities throughout. the sauna is a great addition and the EV charger was a game changer. thanks again, Wendy!!
Our 2nd stay at Hewitt Onion Tower and already reserved it again for next year. This is our annual treat to ourselves for working so hard all year. Wendy is an amazing host and this home is hands down the best in town and the location is unmatched. Highly recommend.
This house is incredible! It is a beautiful home with so much attention to detail. The kitchen is spacious and made hosting a breeze. Plenty of space for visitong comfortably. The beds were comfortable with plenty of extra pillows and blankets. It was within walking distance to campus for my daughter's graduation and some of Marquette's best coffee shops within 2 blocks. I would rate this VRBO over 5 stars if I could.
As brewery owners, we attend the Fall Beer Fest in Marquette every year and are lucky enough to bring friends along. Not only is The Onion Tower absolutely gorgeous, but also spacious enough to house us all comfortably without feeling like we're encroaching in each other's space. I have many years worth of memories laughing with friends both in the living room by the fire and in the sauna. Also, the bed in the basement bedroom is the most comfortable ever - we even ordered the same mattress to replace our bed at home!
We plan to be back again next year and for many years to come. Amazing hosts, location, and home!
I would give this house more than 5 stars if possible. Everything was wonderful down to all the special touches that Wendy provided. Great location within walking distance of brewery, downtown, and beach. We used the entire house for our group of 13 and added the extra studio apartment to give us an additional bathroom upstairs and that was a great idea. We also used the workout area twice during our time there and the large downstairs area with bedroom and bathroom was perfect for our friends with small kids.
Wendy was easy to communicate with and quick with any follow-up questions we had and she even left a few beers from Blackrocks brewery in the refrigerator for us! A wonderful beautiful old home in Marquette- this home is a must for anyone coming with a larger group.
The location was perfect for everything downtown or NMU and the Ice Rink! Host has everything in the house for you to enjoy your time in Marquette. Overall awesome experience in the area, will look (and try) to stay anytime we come back to the area.
