3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, 2 terraces in the sun. The sea is a minute's walk away, for a quiet swim in the morning.

An authentic, bright fishing village, made for slowing down, swimming, cooking and having an aperitif outside. Ideal for couples, quiet family or friends.

The accommodation
🏡 The house

We renovated Calanca in the spring of 2026 to make you feel good from the doorstep: light everywhere, simple materials, a sober Mediterranean décor, nothing ostentatious.

Just a real holiday home where you want to put your things down and breathe.

→ Large open living room, bay windows that extend the living room to the terraces

→ Fully equipped open kitchen, made for long meals that stretch out

→ 6 guests in 3 bedrooms: 2 in the house, 1 in an independent studio (private bathroom, direct access outside, ideal to preserve everyone's privacy)

→ And 1 sofa bed in the living room can accommodate up to 8 people

→ Main bathroom, in a beautiful deep blue that we really like, + the one in the studio

→ Laundry room with washing machine and dryer

→ Air conditioning, wifi, and a corner to put the computer if you need to work a little

🫒 The two terraces

This is probably the heart of Calanca.
You can live outside from morning to night.

→ The lower terrace, with its large table: the haunt of outdoor dining, from breakfast facing the sea to candlelight dinner

→ The high terrace, under a small olive tree: the view. Sea on the horizon, Calanque de Niolon on the left, Marseille in the distance on the right. Our advice is the aperitif and sunset spot, a drink in hand, without doing anything but watching.

🌊 Niolon & the Côte Bleue

A small fishing village clinging to the creek, away from mass tourism.
We come here to slow down, not to be agitated.

→ The sea is a minute's walk away: early in the morning, the creek is calm and the water clear, it's the best time to swim

→ Diving (the UCPA centre is on site), mask and snorkel, and the Sentier des Douaniers which goes to the neighbouring creeks

→ At the port, some good restaurants, including La Pergola, les pieds dans l'eau (remember to book in season)

→ Marseille 25 minutes by car, or by TER by the Train de la Côte Bleue, one of the most beautiful journeys in the region

Who is looking for permanent entertainment, shops at the foot of the door, or doesn't feel like walking a little.

Traveller access
The house is completely private and yours: the 3 bedrooms, the 2 bathrooms, the kitchen, the living room, the independent studio and the 2 terraces.

Free parking, then a few minutes walk downhill to the house.

Self-check-in by keybox: code communicated before the stay, with a detailed arrival guide in photos to find the house without stress.

Other remarks
To book with a clear mind:

→ The sea view is best enjoyed from the upper terrace: sea on the horizon, Calanque de Niolon on the left, Marseille in the distance. One bedroom offers a partial view of the creek and the massifs; the other rooms and the studio overlook the village and the alley.
→ The seaside is made of pebbles and rocks, no sandy beach: perfect for swimming in clear water.
→ A small mini-market helps out on site; for big shopping, it's better to do it before (Carry-le-Rouet 10 minutes away).
→ Quiet and unspoilt village: you come here to slow down, not for the entertainment. A few minutes of operation works downhill to the house.
