"If you enjoy history, you will love this house. It had an authenticity that many places try to manufacture, from the appliances, pictures on the wall, furniture, and down to the records, and books. We ventured to New Iberia and the surrounding area a lot (Jefferson Island, Avery Island, Lake Fausse, Parish Brewery). I highly recommend Rip Van Winkle gardens, and my husband recommends Ghost in the Machine beer from Parish. The owner, Peter, was very kind and responsive, and Leroy, the caretaker, was friendly and gave us a view into the history of the area. One thing to consider, if you go during Sugar Cane harvest season there will be noise. The processing mill is almost right across the street."

"Yes, the property was very welcoming and has always been welcoming to my pets, they love it out there as well as us. Trust me it’s a beautiful place to stay. The tenants are great. If you need anything, they’re there to help. Five star all the way."
