Martinsville Race Weekend

Was visiting there for the weekend to watch the races. Room was very nice, clean, and comfortable. Would definitely recommend it to anyone!

We’ve stayed here a few times when visiting family. The hotel has always been fairly clean. There’s a good continental breakfast. Never had any issues. Beds aren’t as soft as other hotels I’ve been in but we still stay regardless.

I loved the people! Everyone was so nice and went out of their way to be helpful. Check in was easy and because we were there this trip for a funeral they got us into one of our rooms early so we could freshen up and change clothes before the service. They were very understanding and kind. Darrel was extremely helpful, he understood my husband was having health problems and could not walk long distances so he assigned us rooms near an exit we could park close to. We appreciate everything they did for us.

The hotel is a little run down but the staff was exceptional. We did have air quality issues in our first room but they graciously moved us and it was better. I hope they are able to do some updating but you could tell they were trying to keep it clean. The pool was nice. Again, the staff was wonderful, I just think the air conditioning units need cleaning was my biggest issue.

Decent, a few problems.

Our stay was acceptable. Breakfast was good, lots of options. Beds clean, AC was good. Lots of mold on the walls, broken mirrors and bathtubs, cracked floors and peeling molding. Very kind and accommodating staff. Had to switch rooms because AC unit was blowing cigarette smoke into the room. Staff is addressing mold in the room.

The first room they put us in had a broken mirror, a TV that kept freezing up, and entry lights that didn't work. Second room smelled pretty bad. On a positive note, the staff was friendly.

Furnishings and walls are worn and/or damaged. Rooms are not cleaned thoroughly (strands of hair in sink and tub; light switches are dirty; drywall damaged, hallway carpet is filthy from long-term use. Still, the staff is guest-oriented and friendly, the room rates are affordable, and the rooms have dated furnishings but they are cleaned at an acceptable level.

Quality Inn could improve on their quality. The toilet bowl looked like it had not been cleaned. The sheer drapes had stains on them. The heating unit and bathroom fan are obnoxiously loud. The tile floor repair was poorly done. Pictures were not hung properly. The lamp shades are dingy. On the positive side the bed was clean and comfortable. It’s nice having a bedside table on both sides of the bed. The shower facility was good.

I honestly cant see myself coming here again. Staff was 100 percent nice and outstanding. No complaints on staff. Just property needs updated. Rug in hallway needs a professional deep cleaning. Remote buttons had to be pressed hard to to get channels changed. People in lot that come to stay will cat call. I think I'll pay more to stay in Martinsville when I come back next time for a better hotel.

Hotel review

Check in was very easy and friendly lady that worked the check in. My TV remote would not work so I could not watch TV. Did not receive enough towels/hand towels/floor mat. The breakfast was adequate. The hotel was clean and the room was adequate. It was close to where my conference was held and there were plenty of restaurants to choose from. I had a restful sleep and the hotel was quiet and conducive to sleep. The water pressure was very forceful and water from the shower was getting on the floor. It would have been helpful for a bath mat. I had forgotten my toothbrush and toothpaste and the lady at the front desk provided me with what the hotel had. I would stay here again.

Very happy

Quiet stay fir a family trip. The room was clean and spacious. There are some obvious cosmetic needs that need to be addressed like peeling wallpaper and stained carpets but the staff work hard to keep everything clean. Unless you ask for more towels there are only 2 provided so everytime they took our towels for cleaning we had to get more but they were always polite about it. Breakfast was simple with waffles, plenty of drink options, and coffee, oatmeal and prepackaged options for pastries but nothing else hot without the microwave heating up a biscuit with sausgae and egg on it. We enjoyed our stay and it was quiet, easy to get in and out of and located close enough to everything we needed to do while in town.

This was a quick stay so we knew it would be simpler. BUT it was dirty and when the flood from some upper area started at 11pm it was disgusting. We asked for a different room. It was marginal but seemed dry. Super cold so turned on the heat then the heater smoked. Ran outta there Fortunately the evening staff was super nice and did not charge us. Found room $$$ next door. You get what you pay for and then some.

Young adults, (presumably) not hotel guests, were hanging out in parking lot listening to hispanic music from car radios after dark. Security doors to outside, never actually locked, anybody could walk into the facility. Bathroom towels were very thin and both washcloths had stains on them even though they were neatly folded. The good part: the king-size bed was comfortable, the pillows were plentiful and very nicely made, the TV had a wide assortment of channels to watch.

Drive to the next city don’t waste your money!

This was the o my hotel available in the town, I had no other options to stay. Staff was friendly, came into room there was dirt on the carpet and hair and debris in the bathroom I personally had to clean it myself. Unacceptable!!! Upon me leaving I came down stairs and slipped on a very wet title floor which smelled of bleach, the sign wasn’t visible from coming down the stair it was place next to a chair not in vividly view. I made a inceident report with them manager wasn’t on site at 9:00am. I had to get back home and ran extremely late. Because of the fall I couldn’t go to work for two days and ruined my planned vacation and my belonging. I would like for them to compensate my stay as well as clothes.
