"2nd floor has a very fish oil smell from the restaurant.
Besides that, the modern Japanese rooms are unreal, awesome amenities, great onsen, with a cold pool, no sauna.
Staff were excellent, there are places for smoking.
A Family Mart just around the corner, and good restaurants around, although is dark to walk around at night.
But seems more for groups and families that are staying exclusively in the onsen."
"A very spacious and relaxing stay in a traditional Japanese-style house at a reasonable price. The atmosphere was calm and authentic, perfect for unwinding. But there are no place to eat so must prepare something to eat before your check-in!"
"Standard Japanese hotel (somewhat small room, onsen available, etc.), but the breakfast was great and they have a map of recommended places for dinner. There are a couple of parking spots at the hotel, a few more spots a block down the street, etc. (there's a map of parking spots on the side of the hotel). "
"The room was fairly large for Japan, and comfortable, I was on the top floor, non smoking comfort floor. And the breakfast was good. Staff was super. My only complaint is that because some floors were smoking, sometimes the lobby area smelled enough like cigarettes to give me a headache.
Location is good for new Shinkansen station. Sidewalks ok."
"Room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Helpful staff and nice breakfast.
Location is a good area just not much going on. Asuwayama Park worth the 15 minutes walk away.
Definitely recommend!"
"We enjoyed being able to watch the river as we bathed in the open air bath. Plenty of amenities provided, staff was super friendly and helpful, and room was lovely and spacious. Japanese breakfast was huge and delicious and it was wonderful to try some regional specialities."

"Lovely getaway for an authentic Japanese Onsen bathing experience. The suite room was gorgeous and came with a private bath which was very worth it for me ! Many delicious local restaurant options nearby too. Staff knew enough English to get us settled. Highly recommend for 1-2 nights as part of your trip. "
"Friendly staff. We received a free gift of wooden chopsticks. Clean rooms. Comfortable beds. Walkable area, right by the river and near the large park."
"Has a sauna, cold bath, natural bath and hot bath.
Staff were excellent, and parking on the opposite side for about 1600 a night.
Right in the middle of a very bustling night life.
Although, windows on the 10th non smoking floor weee fastened shut and in early March the air on was very hot. Good for some.
Fukui is great area though, plenty to go and see in1hr around by car."
