This is an extensive property with caravan park and motel rooms and outdoor dining. The location is far enough from the highway to avoid any road noises. We stayed in a Family Room and had an old in wall air conditioner that was very noisy. I believe these are gradually being replaced so might be worth asking the question if staying during hot weather. The outdoor dining was excellent and we slept well in the quiet rooms. Would definately come back again.

Our room was not very clean: it was dingy and no space to move around at all. Bunk beds took sip the whole room. Very basic facilities. The outdoor area was awful, could not sit on the chair and there were lots of cigarette butts around. Bird feathers everywhere. The cafe was great. Good location. Fine for one night.

The air conditioning was leaking on the floor could not make a coffee as the kettle had stuff like egg shell inside it and the food was not nice at all.

The bathroom was dirty, the shower recess filthy and there were cracked tiles. There were no fly screens on the windows and the window in the bathroom could not be opened.

Depressingly dark motel room

Packed earth walls and poor lighting made the room feel depressing. Table and chairs at the front of unit, but strong cigarette smoke smell from neighbouring occupant. No microwave in unit. Only 1 in camp kitchen shared by campers and motel rooms.

Check in was easy and pleasant. Restaurant menu had a good range and service was prompt. Food was tasty. We had booked a twin room but ended up in what appeared to be a family room, which had single and double bunk beds. This made the room feel claustrophobic to me. The mattress’s springs dug in and there wasn’t any way to get a good sleep. There was no shower screen or curtain so the water wet the bathroom floor, making it slippery. The stay began well. However, we neither of us got a good night’s sleep.

We enjoyed our stay at Mataranka Territory Manor Motel our unit was clean, quiet and we had a comfortable bed. They also offered meals, coffee, laundry facilities- impressed

What a shocker! We stayed in a Queen motel room and were appalled at the grubbiness of the room, inside and out. Dust, mould, dead insects, damaged doors…not to mention the terrible stagnant water smell in the bathroom….this is what welcomed us. We had to wipe everything over before bringing our things in. Then to top it all off…NO WIFI!!! Once in we went for a walk around the grounds to find a swimming pool in such a terrible state…dirty, damaged and neglected…both the pool itself and the furniture and grounds around it. Such a shame, as the owners were such a lovely couple.
