  • Centrally located with updated kitchen and bathroom. Perfect for both short and long stays! Recently updated with new bathroom, Samsung stove, and refrigerator. We provide all the comforts of home including washing detergent, Bath and body works body wash for the ladies and Duke Cannon for the men. We also provide a Keurig with coffee for your morning pick-me-up! We offer long term discounts and in the summer we grow a garden and you are welcome to anything in it!

This home has everything you could need. The beds are very comfy. It is near stores, restaurants, pretty much anything you might want. The host is very responsive and helpful. Neighborhood is quiet. This was my second stay and will stay again in the future when I come to town to visit family.

This is a cute house that has everything that you would need. The owner was amazing and helped facilitate a change in my stay. The bed was so comfortable that I almost didn’t want to go home. Great place to stay!

Third visit

This was my third time staying this place. I go to visit a friend 1 to 2 times a year. I’ve never had any problems. The host is always quick to respond. It’s very clean and the neighborhood is usually very quiet. I plan on continuing to stay here every time I visit!!

Eclipse from Mattoon

Home was convenient, comfortable, clean, totally well stocked and just the right size for 3 of us! Mattoon is an interesting little town and we enjoyed Nieman's grocery store, The Original Burger King and the Honey Bee. We also visited Thomas and Sarah Lincoln's Log Cabin and park! Thanks Shane!!!

Great Stay and great host!

I stayed at this property for 2 days due to work and I was highly satisfied. The house was very welcoming, smelled amazing, and was decorating nice.The host was exceptional and made sure all of my needs were met. The fact that the essentials were provided plus some made my stay even better. I didnt have to worry about packing everything under the sun because it was already there. I would definitely recommend to anyone looking to visit Mattoon.

We just needed a place to sleep

Everything was fine. We got to the house after 9pm, took a shower & went to bed. Got up at 6am & left by 7:30am so did not utilize the property.

Unpleasant place

The place had someone’s stuff all over. The fridge was full of someone’s condiments and partial boxes of beer and wine. There was a dried up used rag on the table. A towel was hanging in the bathroom which we could not determine if it was clean or dirty. We had to look around for clean towels, which were found piled on a chair in the laundry room. They did not feel clean and fresh. There was trash already in the trash can. The bathroom trash can was covered in old dirt and hair. The kitchen cabinets were full of someone’s old spices and other pantry products. It just didn’t feel clean. We only slept there, but I did not feel good crawling into the bed.
