"Our stay here was absolutely perfect. Everyone nice and helpful. The rooms were spacious and spotless with a view of the water from deck. The pool and beach were amazing and the Rum Shack made fantastic drinks and food. Would highly recommend "

"Fine little place, best price on the beach. Unfortunately right next door to a late night bar which literally makes the walls vibrate. The good news is Julia’s discloses this upfront and sadly the bar is overstepping their allotted noise time. Bad for the other businesses around them. I ended up moving out after one night. "

"Great view of the ocean (including sunrises) from bed and balcony. Toucan room has a large seating area. Restaurant is very good. The only suggestion would be to put in some softer floor or table lighting; the lights were too bright. "

"Naia resort was just what we were looking for! It is absolutely magical. Our beach front bungalow was truly breathtaking. It was immaculate, well kept, looked brand new even though it is ten years old and sooooo spacious. The bed was super comfortable, lots of pillows and soft cotton bedding. The outdoor shower was the best!!!!! Oh, if only we could have one at home. Housekeeping came every day and did a splendid job. We are neat freaks and it was just perfect! The grounds are meticulously cared for and truly magnificent! Such a treat to walk out of the bungalow straight to the ocean. The staff and all the employees are sooooo friendly and helpful. They were just a delight to be around. In fact, I asked the gentleman at the front desk to open up the gift shop for me so that I could purchase some aloe vera gel for a pretty bad sunburn...he quickly opened it and I picked up the bottle of gel and he asked if I would prefer the all-natural route. Of course I was delighted to and within two minutes he was back with a beautiful piece of an aloe vera plant that they grow by their little greenhouse. It was truly a lifesaver - first time I have burned that bad and NOT blistered!!! And the FOOD!!! The food is amazing!!! Compliments to the chef!!!! The waiters are super nice and genuinely concerned about your experience - each and every meal. They are truly experts at their craft. Excellent fitness center too! We didn't even leave the resort once because it was so perfect and relaxing."

"We rented Conmigo’s Villa in Maya Beach through Gecko Vacation Rentals for a 7-night group stay (12 adults), and the experience was excellent from start to finish. Communication throughout the booking process was clear, professional, and timely. All details were provided well in advance, which made coordinating a large group much easier. Check-in instructions were straightforward, and everything at the property matched the listing description. The villa itself was perfect for a group: • 6 bedrooms / 6 bathrooms gave everyone private space • Large shared common areas for gathering • Oceanfront views with beautiful sunrise mornings • Private pool and dock • Two 6-seat golf carts included (huge convenience) The property was clean, well-maintained, and thoughtfully set up for group travel. Having golf carts included made grocery runs and trips into Placencia Village simple and fun. We also utilized concierge assistance for transportation, bikes, and pre-arrival grocery stocking, and those arrangements were handled smoothly. For anyone considering Maya Beach vs. Placencia Village: we were very happy with our location. It offered a quieter atmosphere while still being close to restaurants and amenities. Overall, Gecko delivered exactly what was promised. Professional, organized, and ideal for group travel. Would absolutely recommend and would book with them again."

"The resort is building a new event center (metal construction), new pool bathrooms as well as remodeling rooms. All the constructions make it very unpleasant to stay around the pool and also the beach. The rooms that are not remodeled are very dated and overpriced! Due to the algae in the water it is not pleasant to swim in the water. The staff were friendly but not very competent! Avoid this resort if you want a quiet and peaceful vacation but even without the construction, we would not go back to this resort. "
