"This property was one of the nicer properties in Maui that we saw while beach hopping. It was less busy and the beach access was great for snorkeling. Was centrally located to most shopping and dining. Just sad we had to leave."

"Very nice resort. I stayed in the hotel tower and I was upgraded to an ocean view which was wonderful! My room was king bed and very spacious. Room was clean. Furnishings are old and wood but well kept which I prefer to the modern art deco a lot of hotels are now. I think it adds to the island vibe. The bungalows are newly renovated and spacious and have green space which is nice for families. The resort grounds are beautiful with a beautiful view of the ocean and nice walking areas. The resort is quiet and peaceful. There is a free trolley that runs every 30 minutes that picks you up at the hotel and stops at the other resorts in the area and stops at the Whalers Village outdoor shopping and restaurants. The hotel restaurant offers breakfast buffet and lunch and dinner menus. The restaurant is open air as are all the restaurants in the resort areas so expect the birds. Bar is open all day. I would definitely stay here again."
"The beach was amazing. Rooms were very clean full kitchen in room. Beach view was so beautiful pool was very beautiful lights up at night with a amazing view. Staff was great will definitely visit here again. I recommend this resort if looking for a laid back romantic atmosphere "

"We enjoyed having the pool and the beach a few steps away from our room. That was particularly nice given we traveled with our 4 year old daughter. The towel service and outdoor showers also made the beach experience pleasant. I noticed many resorts in Kaanapali are in front of the beach but the beach has little or no sand. This outrigger hotel has a long sandy beach and a relatively short walk from black rock for snorkeling. There are a lot of dining options walking distance and also within a short drive. I was a bit price shocked from Maui prices compra red to Southern California where I come from. Once I got over the price shock I was really happy.
Lastly, this hotel offers daily cultural activities for free! Very knowledgeable and experienced professional facilitators helped us learn about Hawaiian culture. "

"If I could give 10 stars I would. The best vacation I have ever had. I will be back and stay at the Maui El Dorado. I was relaxed and everything was conveniently located. I spent leisurely days at the pool and beach. The property is well maintained. The staff is super helpful. Willy is great for rides to the cabana and beach. "
