Whitetail Hollow

From the moment you turn onto Rainbow Road, you know you're in a special place! Our cabin is nestled among beautiful open fields and trees where you will see countless nature! Come and relax on our covered front porch and recharge your batteries. Our freshly remodeled cabin is perfect for two couples or a family of four. We have beautiful hardwood floors, washer/dryer, two bedrooms with a queen bed in each, and fresh lavatory that includes tub and shower combo, toilet and sink. Our new kitchen is a delight to be in with light flooding everywhere. We don't carry wifi, but we have a smart tv and some fun movies for viewing. We also have a fire pit for those end of the day tales that are just dying to be told. No city lights here. We are in the country where the sound of tree frogs and crickets will lull you to sleep. Just to give you a lay of the land; we are within 15 minutes of the following: Missaukee Golf Course, Lake Cadillac and Lake Mitchell (famous for walleye fishing), Lake Missaukee, Houghton Lake, Ebels in Falmouth (fabulous meats), Hughston's Cow Camp Rodeo, Merritt Speedway and we are 57 miles to Traverse City - an easy day trip. Maybe it's time to check out Lake Missaukee that boasts the greatest 4th of July in the north! Whether you are looking to get away and rest or spend some time exploring, this is your place! We are a 4 season get away and we can't wait to host you!

Peaceful Outdoors Oasis!
We had an incredible stay at The Hollow. With the busyness of life, a quiet getaway was just what we needed to rejuvenate ourselves. The cabin is nestled among the trees down a winding dirt road. It is updated and incredibly clean, but with a rustic edge. We enjoyed a nice cup of coffee on the covered porch and listened to the birds chirp away. We also saw opossums, rabbits, eagles and deer, among other wild life. Plus, we were only 45 minutes from Lake Michigan which made for a lovely little day trip. We will absolutely be back - thank you!

Perfect getaway
Nice, peaceful getaway for my wife and I. Very clean cabin, far enough away from noise, yet close enough to stores etc.

Great fall weekend
Property is brand new and a great choice for an escape to the woods. No WiFi with great outdoor area to enjoy nature away from the bustle of everyday life. Our visit in early oct was just a week or so early for prime fall colors, but still lovely.

20th Anniversary
We loved this place. Perfect escape from the city. Huge firepit with plenty of wood ( enjoyed splitting my own ), yard games, spacious front porch and an awesome kitchen countertop are just a few things we loved. They seemed to have thought of everything!!

If anything, the listing photos are understated. The beauty of this place is hard to catch in pictures. Couldn't have been a nicer stay.

Cabin was as nice in real life as in the pictures .
I’ve rented some other cabins that looked a lot better in the pictures than in person. But this little cabin was very nice. It was clean newer looking beautiful wood furniture and came with everything you could want. It even had a croquet set, corn hike and some board games. Nice setting and quiet. I would definitely rent again.
