"Hotel is well appointed and the staff are very friendly. However the rooms on the first level feel like basement apartments, with a view of a parking lot."

"This house was comfortable and could easily accommodate a large party (we were only 4), though the living/dining space is very small in comparison to the very large bedrooms. We did not use the kitchen, but it looked nice. The beds were very comfortable, though others would want to bring additional blankets if renting in the winter as we did. The bathroom sinks and showers did not drain properly. The biggest pro for the house is its proximity to the beach—you’re practically in the waves, which is what we were looking for. The beach and ocean views were at the top of our list when we paid top dollar for this house. Unfortunately, the owners have intentionally left a major eyesore out of the promotional photos. A huge power plant dominates the view day and night. It belches smoke or steam into the air 24 hours a day and is lit up like a Christmas tree, shining into the house all night. This was our first trip to this area, and because it was not in the photos, we had no idea it was there. We would not have paid the price we paid for that view. I can’t imagine that other reviewers haven’t mentioned this, unless they are more familiar with the area and used to the oceanfront industries up and down that coastline. We wish the photos would have been more honest."

"Absolutely perfect! Beautiful grounds, staff is wonderful, rooms are very clean and comfortable, and the freshly cooked breakfast is great! There are also freshly baked cookies in the parlor each night to enjoy! "

"This is the cutest home and has every amenity you'll need. It's clean, cozy, and well stocked. The property manager communicated so well every step of the way and was so nice. You'll also be in very close proximity to great food and easy shopping. Sift Bakery is nearby as well as Flanders Donuts if you're looking for a sweet treat and Black Sheep is stellar for a warm comfort meal. "

"Bill is a great host. He checked in with us to make sure everything was good, and then left us to our own devices. The house itself was great. It was exceptionally clean, well-stocked, and comfortable. The bedrooms are spacious. The driveway is wide and fits 4 cars. It was too cold to go to the beach, but we took the short walk down to see the water. Again, we were there in the off-season, but it was very peaceful. There's a super cute deck off the back of the house which would be great in warmer weather. Truthfully, I have no complaints about Bill's house and would definitely rent again if I'm ever back in the area. "
