Thank you for your review. We list the capacity of the Owls Nest as four guests because we only have one Queen bedroom and one bedroom with two twin beds. We are a "cozy" house located on prime deep water lake front with many indoor and outdoor amenities such as kayaks and onsite garden trails that our guests enjoy. We provide a lot of fun actiivites for children.

Spring Break at the Lake
Our family enjoyed staying at this cabin over our spring break. The weather was cooler so the hot tub was a welcome past time in the afternoons & evenings. The owners put a lot of care into their property and it shows. There were plenty of kayaks, canoes, life jackets to select from and use. We enjoyed lunch on the back porch and took in the beautiful views of the lake. We would recommend staying here for the lake views, comfort, and convenience to the nearby town. We plan to visit again!

Cozy and Comfortable Cabin
My family (myself, my husband, and 2 daughters ages 14 & 11) had a wonderful time at The Owl's Nest. Dave and Pearle are amazing hosts - they provided so much information about the area and went above and beyond in more than one way for us! The cabin was exactly as described in a secluded cove right on the lake. It was so quiet and peaceful, and the owners have added so much to the cabin to ensure guests have a great experience. We enjoyed the hot tub, the substantial movie collection, outdoor games, classic video games and kayak despite the snowy weather! The pool access at nearly Garrett Community College was a huge bonus as well. The rooms are small but comfy and the cabin has plenty of furnishings and extras that allowed us to relax and worry about nothing! We'd love to come back to The Owls Nest again!

I highly recommend! A very clean home with all the things you need for a relaxing getaway. The location on the lake is perfect with a hot tub to relax in and close to local trails and activities. The hosts were great and provided all the detailed information we needed and were available for whatever questions we may have had during our stay.

Just what I needed❤️
Owls Nest is truly a "hidden gem".❤️ It has everything you need for a perfect getaway. It's very cozy, and inviting. There's so much to do and if you don't wanna do nothing it's perfect for that too! I hope to come back with my children and grandson I know they will love it just as much as I did. Dave & Pearle are awesome they keep in good communication and go above and beyond to make sure everything is ok and you're happy. ❤️

Perfect Getaway in Deep Creek
We had a wonderful time in this charming cabin in a serene and quiet location in Deep Creek. The cabin was exactly as described in the listing and had everything we needed (and more) to enjoy our stay. The owners went above and beyond to ensure we had a great stay including leaving a welcome basket with smore ingredients and an array of teas, candy and treats to make it extra special. I especially loved the folding card table that we used to work on puzzles while watching movies on a rainy night. My mom and I truly enjoyed our girls weekend away and look forward to staying at this cabin again in the future.

The Owls Nest stocks Liberty wood puzzles. This company makes wood Senior large piece puzzles as well as Children’s puzzles with larger size pieces that work well in the cabin environment for rainy days. Liberty puzzles, made in Boulder Colorado, contain many fun whimsy pieces and are not a typical puzzle. We are you glad you enjoyed our puzzles on the large card table we provide for games.

Excellent cabin in the woods!
I had an absolutely stellar experience at Owls Nest! This is truly a year-round destination for rest and relaxation. Even in late winter it was charming and welcoming. Pearle and Dave were attentive hosts who made sure I could contact them quickly with questions. I can't wait to come back!

Wonderful hospitality!
Dave and Pearle have a lovely cabin on the lake and are so good about going the extra step to make your stay very comfortable and relaxing. There are so many extra amenities you don’t often find in other rentals. They are very thoughtful to provide extra little things that make your stay more memorable. We plan to come back again in warmer weather to enjoy being on the lake doing water activities. They have plenty of water crafts included on property! Thank you, again, Dave and Pearle. You are wonderful hosts!

Perfect winter getaway!
Owl nest is the perfect winter getaway! My husband I celebrated Valentine's Day in this cozy cabin. The property was exactly as listed and was super clean! The hosts David and Pearle were always available to answer any questions we had and they checked in periodically to make sure we had everything we needed. The home was about 15mins from Wisp resort and close to everything we needed. We even got to experience a mini snowstorm on our last day (hot tub was perfect in the snow, thanks Pearle!) and the roads were cleared pretty quickly. We have zero complaints and would love to stay again.

Cozy cabin on the lake
This comfortable, cozy cabin has a very modern bathroom and kitchen, a beautiful wooded setting and location right on the lake. The cabin was very well-equipped—we can’t imagine how it could be improved. We were here in winter to do cross country skiing. We especially enjoyed the hot tub and gas fireplace. Our host made sure snow was cleared from steps, driveway and walk areas. The thoughtful owners checked in with us via texts to be sure all was well and we had no questions. We definitely want to return!

FABULOUS!
The cabin is adorable and decorated so well! It is fully stocked...the owners have literally thought of anything and everything that someone would need for their stay. If you forget something, it is most likely there. They were very communicative checking in on us the day we arrived as needed. They have so many outdoor games (frisbee golf, corn hole, ladder ball, etc.) and there is a little path along the boundary of the yard with an adorable frog garden. There are swings in various places as well as a playset. It was perfect for our girls' weekend. Highly recommend and if we go back, will choose Owl's Nest once again.

Perfect Weekend Getaway
Owl's Nest was the perfect place for a weekend getaway. The house is clean and cozy and the hot tub is awesome. The location on the lake is beautiful and relaxing. We had no issues but the owners stayed in touch with us in case we did. Highly recommend.

We'll be back!
We loved our stay at Owl's Nest. It had everything you'd want for a weekend getaway. We felt warm and cozy both inside and out - steaming in the hot tub while the snow fell and snuggled up in the beds with the heated pads. It was very clean, and the personal decor was a fun and cozy touch. David and Pearle were kind and responsive hosts, the view of the lake was beautiful, and we all hated to leave! We're excited to come back in wermer weather and out those kayaks to use. Thank you for a lovely stay!

Delightful Retreat
Enjoyed a fantastic stay at the Owl's Nest, booked via VRBO. The cabin was splendid with breathtaking scenery. Highlights included relaxing in the jacuzzi, gathering around the fire pit, and filming my Rubik's Cube sessions. Pearl and her husband were exceptionally helpful, especially when we needed directions. The property was spotlessly clean and well-maintained. Highly recommend for a peaceful getaway. Would definitely return. 5/5 stars!

Thought of everything!
This property has everything you could think of, and more, and everything is well laid out and labeled so there is no guessing. You can tell how much love and thought the owners have put into it, and believe me, you will be lacking for nothing. We hope to return again sometime in a different season, to be able to enjoy the summer, as well. Wonderful, quiet, neighborhood, beautiful location, and well appointed home. If I had any single complaint, it would be that I wish I had brought my own pillow, since all of the ones provided are feather pillows and that’s not my preference. It was well worth it regardless! Fantastic, experienced hosts.

Perfect Getaway!!
Pearle and Dave are the best of the best! Amazing stay, house, property etc. They have everything you could possibly need to make your stay enjoyable. We loved the hot tub in the snow and the heated mats walking to and from it! My husband & I had a great time at your cabin. It was stocked with everything you could possibly need. We found your binder of information to be very helpful and enjoyed many of the hikes, Swallow Falls was awesome!! We especially enjoyed the hot tub……I am not sure that I’ve ever seen such clean water! We will definitely be back!

Great getaway!
We stayed at the owls nest for my husbands birthday weekend and was wowed by the ammentities. Yard games, kayaks, paddle boards, board games, even a high chair seat, if you have a baby. Even though it rained the first evening, we were still able to enjoy it. The following night we must have heard a dozen owls while we were in the hot tub. It was very relaxing and an awesome experience!

Everything you need!
Owls Nest on Deep Creek Lake is a terrific place for getting away! The cabin is cute and cozy with lots of little touches that make it welcoming and homey. The beds are comfortable, the towels are soft and fluffy, and the furniture was perfect for watching movies in the evening. Dave and Pearle have literally thought of everything - if they don't have it at Owls Nest - you don't need it. There was even a welcome bag of fixings for s'mores which we greatly appreciated and enjoyed around the fire pit. Thanks Dave and Pearle - we had a fun and relaxing fall weekend at your wonderful lake cabin.

A Relaxing Anniversary!
My husband and I thoroughly relaxed and enjoyed our time at the Owl’s Nest! We relaxed instantly and melted into their super comfortable relaxing chair and couch. We were impressed by the All-Clad cookware and the master bed was so incredibly comfortable I think I slept better there than in my own bed. Everything was very clean and cozy and the hosts were incredibly gracious to us. I can’t wait to stay at the Owl’s Nest again!

My wife and I returned to the Owl’s Nest for a second year. It is very clean, peaceful, and has a great location on the lake. There are a lot of activities and games to do on the property and many areas to go hiking close by. The bed is comfortable and we enjoyed the hot tub every evening under the stars. I can’t think of anything that would have made it better.

Super Cute Cabin in the Woods
My wife and I were looking for a long weekend getaway and found Owl's Nest on VRBO. It was the perfect listing for us because most of the Deep Creek properties are huge and we didn't need a large space for just the two of us. While this property might be small, it does not disappoint on what it has to offer. Host/ Process - Communications were great, hosts were friendly and the whole booking/ checkin process was a breeze. A nice welcome basket with some wine, smores kit and local jam was provided. The hosts left lots of info on the area and even checked in via text just to make sure it was smooth sailing. Place/ Location - Cabin was very well appointed and had all you need. It was a cabin feel but had been nicely updated and the open living area and large slider made it very comfortable. It was clean and the owners really thought of everything. The yard, deck and hot tub were amazing and the location on the lake was great. It was close to hiking trails, dining options, grocery stores and everything else you needed. No going in that this is property on the small side. It was fine for us as a couple and if we had our 2 young kids it would be fine as well. Bonus - I really appreciated the attentiveness/ friendliness of the host. We also took advantage of the gym they provided via the community college. The yard/ property was also just so cute and relaxing.

This cabin on the lake was a relaxing gem to find! Even though our weather was rainy, we still had everything needed to have a cozy weekend at Deep Creek! The property has so many hidden gems and ways to stay busy (games, books, puzzles, dvds, etc!). The extra touches go a long way and we appreciated all the hospitality (and hot tub)!

We just got back from 4 days at Owl’s Nest and are already looking forward to going back there! Very cozy cabin with many wonderful surprises! Everything we needed was provided and more. Modern updated bathroom and wonderful bedding and pillows! An endless supply of games and movies and toys for kids; plus many things to do in the big yard—just the two of us but we were kind of wishing we’d brought along some grandkids!

Amazing Family Vacation
We had an amazing family vacation at Owls Nest! The amenities are endless and we appreciated having them. From paddleboards to cornhole, to movies, to all the kitchen supplies, this property was an easy escape from real life. The house is cozy, but the expansive deck, yard, and dock allows for all the outdoor space you could want. We were all sad to leave this special little place.

Great place for small family
We had a blast in this rental. Having a dock was great, we could jump in the water and swim or be able to kayak/paddle board every time we wanted to. The Hot Tub was very nice, it was a new model and it seemed to be pretty clean. Although the house it's on the smaller side, we thought it was perfect for 4 people. Kudos to the owners who thought of different things to make our stay much more enjoyable.

Thank you for the review. A brand new hot tub was installed in spring, 2023. The owner has a hot tub license. He replaces water and adds chemicals between all rentals to insure cleanliness. The occupancy is listed for 4 at the Owls Nest. Kayaks and paddleboards are available free for guest use year round. The private dock and kayak launcher are available from about April 1 thru Mid November as all docks have to be off the lake by DNR rules from December 1 thru April 1. Dock Installation and removal are dependent on weather.

Great Stay
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at "The Owl’s Nest”. The outdoor space was scenic, peaceful, and relaxing with its beautiful backyard, view of the lake, hot tub, firepit, and porch. We were very comfortable with all the amenities on the inside as well. It has a very nice family gathering space, well-equipped kitchen, comfortable beds, and modern bathroom. There were a few rainy days during our stay, but it didn't matter because we enjoyed staying at this home. The owners have thought of every detail to provide for a great stay!

Everything you could want for a luxury vacation tucked privately in the woods, right on the lake.
Spotlessly clean, completely stocked with all the cookware, dishes, laundry & cooking facilities one could want. The hot tub is very relaxing. And a pretty funny duck comes up on the deck and peers at you every morning ("feed me!").

Family time
This has to be one of the best lake houses I've rented. The little details and all the things one might forget are there for you to use. So many things for my kids to do. Kids didn't even ask me for media because they where so entertained with everything there. The paddle boards and canoes that we was able tonuse for free was great. Fire pit loaded with wood was also a huge plus. We will be back soon.
