"What can I say about this property that I suspect dozens of others haven't already. In a word this property is superb. It's remote location (it feels like you are in the absolute middle of no where but you're 8/9 miles from the town) is idyllic, right on a small lake. The house isn't perfect, but that's what we loved - it has character, it has personality and it has charm all within an exceptionally safe, well apportioned, incredibly comfortable set of walls. A couple of things to help other travellers. The owners are incredible - we had a couple of questions before and during and they were responsive and super helpful The building doesn't have AC, but they have more fans than B&Q (Home Depot I guess for Americans) and windows have bug meshes - we stayed in the middle of the heatwave and we slept fine (better than we can in the UK during such heat) There are mosquitoes and they do bite - its a cabin in nature, near water... The cabin had bug spray, the windows had mesh stoppers to allow the windows to be open and when the breeze got up, we weren't bothered by them as much. I suspect that in shoulder of off-season where they don't thrive, their absence would make the cabin even more perfect. The amenities were great - great kitchen, laundry, multiple sleeping options, great shower and possibly the largest DVD collection I've ever seen in a rental property. We went out and explored from the property but you'd never get bored if you never left the building"

"This place was perfect to celebrate my daughter’s 17th birthday with her friends. The house is extremely clean and very well decorated for the UP the host of the house was extremely understanding to me overlooking some things during booking and very accommodating. She even left some birthday stuff for my daughter, and even thinks of the pups if you’re bringing one, which was a very sweet touch. The location was great for pictured rocks. Secluded, but not too far from town. Quiet and cozy. Would definitely come back!"

"Very clean. Next to other cabins but pretty well private and very quiet. The small lake was fun to kayak on. Keep in mind on a lot of gravel but would still highly recommend if using as a base for pictured rock and hiking excursions."

"Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Great stay! The property was as described and had lots of extras included. We enjoyed our stay and loved being on the lake. The property manager was automatics emails so can’t say much about communication. We did have a run in with the shower handle falling off during our stay and ended up finding tools to fix it, never heard back from the property manager about it. There also was no working light for the bedroom but didn’t bother asking about it over the holiday. A hose outside by the fire pit would also be nice to put out the fire when its done. Other than those few issues we had a great time and enjoyed being so close to Munising for day trips during our stay."
