First of all, I want to say that this is a great location and short distance to the Skywalk at Grand Canyon. It only took us 30 minutes to arrive at the ‘Check in’ area and less than 10 minutes to the parking area.
The house faces the back of Grand Canyon which was totally unexpected for a such location. To tell you the truth, while I was driving to the house, I was thinking to myself: Oh boy, what have I done booking this house in this barren wasteland. My thoughts changed in a matter of few hours while we were sitting outside in the evening enjoying the scenery. Wow, our whole family felt like it was what it would be like to be in space. We even didn’t want to talk loudly because of the quietness. My 12 years girl said, Mom here is so beautiful and quiet in its own way.
The house is nothing fancy but was very comfortable and clean. Everything we needed was provided.
Pros:
(1) Details instruction from using the house to an energy situation
(2) Kitchenware, towels, sandwich bags, garbage bags were incredibly complete
(3) Back up storage dry food, waters and etc.
(4) Bedroom is very clean and includes a load of pillows, summer and winter blankets
(5) Ceiling fans, standing fans, tissue, paper towels, liquid soaps everywhere
(6) Air condition, laundry room, and extra folding chairs
(7) Flashlights, lamps, umbrellas, and much more
(8) Outside BBQ and dining table and chairs
Cons:
(1) No stores around you. You need to bring in your own food
Location:
(1) 30 – 40 minute drive to Skywalk Grand Canyon
(2) 30-minute drive to ‘South Cove’ and it is one of the park’s lesser-known getaways if you want to launch onto Colorado River / Lake Mead
(3) Beautifully view the back of Grand Canyon
(4) Excellent star glazing and watch the sunset
I would highly recommend this location for people who want to get away from the noisy city life and to enjoy nature at its finest.
