The Surf Shack was cozy and had everything we needed - including a first aid kit! :) There was a microwave, refrigerator, hot plate, coffee pot, plenty of table space for games, a nice outdoor space, shampoo/conditioner/soap - and it was all close to everything happening on the main drag! Far enough that noise was not a problem, close enough to walk. A great stay! :)
This place was awesome. Photos make it looks like an old rustic cabin. Trust me. Thats the feel of it. But it's a 5 star cabin. Close to everything downtown Medicine Park, close to Mt. Scott. Would recommend it to anyone. Clean, and everything advertised was found inside. Easy checkin and communication with host.
The owner was available for any questions and was super sweet! The surf shack was in a great location for walking to different shops and food amenities. We did not have any issues and the bed was comfortable and clean. I don't want to talk too much so I don't have to fight others to book it again!
everyone else to book it!fight
The property was a great stay for my business trip. I usually stay in Lawton or Duncan but I wanted to check out the area in medicine park. My husband and my two dogs were with me and it was an excellent stay. The place was perfect for two people. Four would be a bit cramped but it was perfect for our stay. The area was right off the main strip and was super easy to walk around. It has a microwave, Kruieg coffee maker, refrigerator and a smaller sink. It was nice having the extra amenities but we ended up eating out at the restaurants. We loved the decorations that made us feel at home and it was quiet, clean and comfortable. The WiFi was great for me to use for work and they have Roku. My only recommendation is to bring a flashlight at night if you want to venture out and the bathroom has curtain, not a door. If you’re sharing the room with other people and want privacy in the bathroom, it is a curtain. Otherwise, the place is chic, inexpensive and a great get away from the city. We recommend Bootleggers for a drink and lunch, Joe Mountain Breakfast Bar for an early morning meal, old plantation for dinner and if you’re around during the week, the Refugee Alehouse for open mic on Thursdays! The area is full of wonderful people, a relaxing atmosphere and art. It was such a great time, we added one more day. Nice Towels are available, nice shampoo and conditioner, a first aid kit and Utensils for whatever. You don’t need to bring a whole lot of stuff.
Good, but I would advertise that there are a lot of stairs for seniors. Also, need to emphasize that there are four (4) steps to enter the bathroom. These are a lot of possibilities for a stumble and/or fall IF they are skaky on their feet.
