Riad Yacout
2/10 Terrible
"Dusty, smelly, and dirty. Only Asmae is willing to help yet her hands are tied. Very limited for what she can do for guests.
Both indoor and outdoor construction created this unlivable dusty environment, which caused my asthma to kick in.
My “senior suite” was with strong gasoline odor when I tried to go to sleep. After 20 minutes the odor became stronger. I requested room change before gas poisoning. First run there gave me was small, damp, and moldy. I refused to take it. They finally offered an adequate yet still fussy room.
I wish I could give them zero star. "

Farah Inn Ifrane
8/10 Good
"Bonus, high quality price"

Hotel Kanz Erremal
10/10 Excellent
"The location is its biggest highlight , right by the dunes and truly beyond expectations. My room was at the rooftop, it gave me a luxury to watch the sunrise in the dunes privately! I also danced under the stars!
If you wanna make the instagram famous pool video you can do it from rooftop or you can take room number 24. Only this room has the best view.
The drawback, the washroom smell was quite disturbing.
And the breakfast was so so!

Merzouga Spirit Luxury Camp

Hotel Plaisance

"Excellent staff. The hotel is a 25 minute walk from the station."

Sahara Magic Luxury Camp
10/10 Excellent
"Sahara Magic Luxury Camp is, without question, one of the most extraordinary experiences our family has ever had. If you're considering a night in the Sahara, stop deliberating — this is the place.
The camel ride into the dunes at golden hour was the stuff of dreams — a moment our family will talk about for years. Our 4-year-old son was completely mesmerized, and watching him experience the magic of the Sahara for the first time is a memory we'll cherish forever.
The tents are genuinely luxurious — beautifully furnished, surprisingly spacious, and far more comfortable than you'd ever expect in the middle of the desert. Every detail has been considered to make you feel at ease while remaining fully immersed in the wilderness.
As night fell, the bonfire was lit, Berber music filled the desert air, and the atmosphere was warm and deeply authentic. Then came the stargazing — with zero light pollution, the night sky over the Sahara is unlike anything we have ever seen. None of us wanted the moment to end.
The food was fresh, flavourful, and generous — every meal a delight. And the staff were the beating heart of it all; warm, genuine, and incredibly attentive, taking exceptional care of our young son throughout.
Sahara Magic Luxury Camp is not just a place to stay — it's a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Absolutely unmissable."

Zephyr Ifrane
10/10 Excellent
"I can’t believe this had an average of 7/10 in the reviews. It really is a 9.5–10/10. Good value. The room was a good size. There was an issue with the sink not draining under a Sunday night.Hayat had a technician fix it within 15 minutes. Dinner was good. Breakfast was excellent. There was a secure guard – controlled parking for my motorbike. And a really interesting design.
I made a mistake by booking the wrong night. Ajay at Hotels.com (Expedia) sorted it out and I really appreciate help from the hotel staff who were all excellent:Zackery, Hamid and Hayat.
If you’re anywhere near Ifrane then this is a good place to stay.

Nasser Palace Suites & Spa
10/10 Excellent
"An Arabian Nights Dream at the Edge of the Dunes
If you are traveling to Merzouga, skip the generic resorts and stay at Nasser Palace. This isn't just a hotel; it’s an authentic gateway to the Sahara. Located in Hassilabied, right at the foot of the Erg Chebbi dunes, it offers an experience that feels like stepping into a movie set.
The Vibe: The architecture is stunning—a traditional artisanal kasbah with beautiful carvings and a sprawling central patio. Whether you’re lounging by the emerald-green pool or sitting on the terrace watching the sunrise over the sand, the "Arabian Nights" atmosphere is everywhere.
The Desert Experience: They are experts at desert logistics. We did the camel trek into the dunes for sunset, and it was seamless. They also offer 4x4 adventures and sandboarding. Being only a 1-minute walk from the dunes means you can wander out to see the stars whenever you like.
The Food: The kitchen here is incredible. Breakfast was amazing, they also serve lunch and dinner.
Authentic Wellness: After a dusty day in the desert, the Beldi Spa and Hammam were a godsend. They even offer traditional sand therapy (Sablothérapie) during the summer months, which is a unique local experience you won't find at many other places.
Exceptional Hospitality: The staff, led by Lehsen and El Bashir the manager, go above and beyond."

Château Roslane Boutique hôtel & Spa
8/10 Good
"Fantastic property but lacking in service and food quality. We really enjoyed our two night stay but there is a disconnect between the facility and the service. You are in a 5 star hotel with 3 star service. Examples include having to approach staff for beverage service and dining room not being properly set up (e.g. napkin missing, utensils not provided) and having to request items."
