The hotel was nice but for over $500 per night, the room was absolutely tiny. We had no space to put a bag (thank god we didn’t bring a suitcase,) no table to sit at, the toilet door was see through glass with a big hole for a handle, meaning you could see people sitting on the toilet (awkward much.) Fine to stay in by yourself but not for a couple. Breakfast was good, staff were lovely, bed comfortable, just the size of the room and the toilet that was no good.

We have stayed at a few resorts and hotels, but the “ Intercontinental” in Sorrento has to be amongst the best. The staff were so prompt and friendly in anything we requested. They were even beautiful enough to provide us with a a bottle of wine for our 20th year anniversary. Love this place.

Air/Heat wasn’t working in the room and hotel couldn’t get it resolved for our entire stay (3 nights). Other guests had the same issue. Room was extremely noisey due to shared access door and outside music blaring from the balcony above from 10am to 7pm. Breakfast was disappointing, having to endure long wait to be seated. Room service breakfast only available for additional charge, despite breakfast being included in the room rate.

We stayed in room 3206. It looked out onto concrete balconies & a delivery driveway. It was very noisy. Delivery trucks woke us up early in the mornings with reverse beeping noises. The room was very dark and dreary due to the lack of natural lighting coming in. The bed was also very uncomfortable.

While this is a beautiful facility, it is clear that there quite a few teething problems with staff and service. All the staff were friendly and helpful, however we have found out since our stay that the catering side of the hotel is run by a separate company so there is a disconnect in service standards. On our last morning, the restaurant was unable to keep up with the demand and we were going back to our room at 11.03 am to find out our key pass was automatically expired at 11.00AM! We then got stuck on the wrong floor as we were unable to use the lift as the key pass had expired! Nowhere else in the world have I experienced this and I really believe it should not be expired until check out is completed.

Well located in the heart of Sorrento. Very friendly and warm staff. Good amenities in the facility. Lunch and dinner options and menu are great. Breakfast is not a buffet but off an ala carte menu - very limited choice and a bit ordinary. There are much better options in cafes just outside the hotel. Overall a good experience.

I wait for a year to come and stay in this place after my sad journey on my heath. I was excited to stay at this hotel as for Marketing and photos on the website. But very disappointed as it was not as I expected. Over price and the room is just simple and the food bfast was crap. You will have the same choices everyday and sad that we stay 3 nights thats why we got no choice just to deal with it. Some stuff are friendly but some was snob and not helpful as well. Not coming back and I would not recommend for someone.

Hotel was beautiful overall. Lovely breakfast. I inadvertently booked an accessible room (not really understanding what that meant) and found not enough vanity or bench space because of this. Otherwise perfect

A brand new hotel. Our room was sensational. Still short of staff but those we encountered were friendly and efficient. Sadly I couldn’t stay for breakfast but partner said it was good. I’d go there again.

Great location right in the heart of Sorrento. Room was spacious but for the money I was expecting a few extras that comes with this price tag. Turn down service, heated floor in the bathroom, refill of water when room is cleaned etc but the staff were friendly and helpful. Food options were great and the pool was lovely to sit round. Disappointing that we had to pay $35 a day to park our car at the hotel, feel this is something that should be free or at least subsidised for people staying at the hotel.

Although place was well appointed , the overall layout was confusing to navigate between floors wit access cards . Smelt of fresh paint , Wrecked Car and rubbish skip bins for a view outside hall way access window near main lift ,is not very glamorous or inviting , not at that price point any way . $35. parking fee !!

Great swimming pool. Robes, linen, and towels were all very new and high quality. Gorgeous in room glassware. Comfortable bed. Walking distance to beach and restaurants. Currently understaffed and missing some of the little details e.g. our bed was set up as a twin instead of a king and had to be reported twice to be fixed, slow service in the restaurants and bar.
