The staff are, mostly, magnificent. One or two exceptions but that's par for the course with luxury hotels. I love the full-size pool/billiards table (found on level 6, Games Room) and the in-room dining is generally excellent. I was only disappointed by the lack of options on the menu, though everything is prepared to a high standard. The breakfast buffet (available on level 5, FiVth restaurant) is from 6:30 to 8:30 or thereabouts. We enjoyed it very much. I highly recommend the Oakwood Premier.

Close to DFO and light rail that travels from South Melbourne to Cruise Terminal at Station Pier. Easy walk to cbd and casino. Soundproof apartments so no traffic noise but great views over CBD. Lovely property and a great location, with amazing views from our rooms. The only criticism is that we had difficulty accessing the room for one of our group when the person who had booked the room arrived late due to airline cancellations and delays.

Beautiful rooms and good location to catch our cruise at Station Pier a 10 minute taxi ride away. Unfortunately we got super stressed on the morning of the cruise when we waited 30 minutes for the elevator to take us down from the 11th floor.... two of the four elevators were out of service causing the remaining two to be full to capacity with people going down from the upper 32 floors! We narrowly got to the cruise terminal in time despite allowing an hour to get there!

For a reasonably new hotel the room was plain . Furniture really outdated and fridge was smelly like something was off even though empty. Not much milk for a coffee . Wouldn’t stay again

Property is very secure. Deluxe double room on 38th floor was spacious with an amazing view. It is not central in location so a bit of a walk to the casino and southbank main area, but quick walk to DFO. Checkin was a bit slow with only one person manning the desk. Coffee machine in room did not work properly and no option for normal coffee as a back up.

Spacious room with lovely views. Out of town although we did find a short cut towards the end of our stay. Shower good with excellent pressure but I would have liked the lower fitting not to have been as high up - I had to stand on tip toes to get the shower head. A potential hazard.
