Great spot for an extended stay. Excellent location and plenty of room for everyone to have their own space to be able to relax and unwind. Great value for money.
Absolutely fantastic location!We fit two Mitsubishi Outlanders in the off-street garage, so rare for such a location.The facilities were mostly good, but you can tell the property is past its prime. Don't let this stop you though, this is a great place to stay, with so much room for everyone.

Great position
Hard to beat this location, very comfortable. Needs some work to clean throughout and to fix the plumbing in all toilets.
We had a great stay at this property. The house is spacious and excellent to have a garage for our rental car. It is a great location too. Good exercise going up and down the stairs.
Amazing property and amazing location.

We stayed in this property with my family which included young children. The host pre-arranged baby gates for us to help baby-proof the property which was greatly appreciated. The check-in and check-out process was great, thanks to the host. Excellent location for anyone’s stay in Melbourne.

In the heart of South Yarra and 2 min walk from Chapel St, this property has a great location. It was what we needed for a group of girls staying for a few nights - lots of space and great communal areas. However the space didn’t feel as if it had been recently cleaned, food left in the fridge and towels / linens were musty. The hot water ran out most days too.
Great location in south yarra. A few metres from a woolworths and trams into the city. It could fit 2 x cars (landcruiser and outlander) in the garage.It slept 8 x people.When we arrived, it was evident the place needed cleaning. The floors (carpet and floorboards) were really dirty. We found 3 vacumn cleaners, but none worked. The towels provided in one of the rooms had the musky smell where they were once wet, then folded. We ended up buying new towels. Renovations poorly done (questionable whether its to standards). Ie. Loose bathroom floor tiles, toilets not fixed to the ground, basins not fixed to the bench/vanity, carpet loosly rolled onto existing floor and not secured. BBQ missing plates. Obvious water leaks on the ceiling near the front door. No exhaust fans or ventilation in ensuite.

The location was great and check in was very easy. The apartment is very spacious. The 3 flights of stairs might get a bit much if staying more than a few nights.The floors and surfaces were not clean. I had to clean the kitchen, The downstairs toilet was grubby and broken. I informed the host and they said a plumber couldn’t be called until the Monday. The tap for the cistern had to be turned off to stop the noise of refilling. The whole place is in good clean.wdiok to use.

Location was good and it was easy to get around Melbourne from there. It was a well equipped neat apartment.
However communicated wasn’t great from the host. There was a note left about a plumber needing to attend the property, yet we never heard more about this and no plumber showed up.
The property was cleanish but there were dirty dishes in the cupboards, food in the fridge and old soap bars and toothbrushes in the bathrooms. There were also personal items such as clothing in the cupboards.
It felt like we were staying in someone else’s house as opposed to a guest house
I recently stayed at this awesome 3-story studio apartment near Chapel Street, and my stay was amazing.
The place was very home style studio apartment - spacious, clean and welcoming. The bedrooms were large with lots of space. The apartment was nicely zoned with living zone on the top level and bedrooms separated by a retreat area on the middle floor.
The best way to describe the location is that it was a hidden gem. Private, and cozy yet in the heart of bustling South Yarra.
It is very well located with Chapel Street being a 2-minute walk away and 5 mins stroll to the train station. Made getting around very easy. Perfect for exploring the neighbourhood or venturing out to other cool spots in the city.
This place has all the goodies you need for a comfy stay. The kitchen had everything, and the beds were comfortable.
I would happily stay here again and would recommend this place.

The location is great. The place however was dirty, the sheets had crumbs all through it and stains. We didn’t have hot water for 2 of the 3 nights we stayed which was extremely uncomfortable. The house was undergoing renovations, this was not made clear in any description or photos on the Stayz ad. There were holes in the walls, bathroom fixtures not properly installed, and there was food from previous guests left on the couch. Apologies if this is a blunt review but we were shocked. We had contacted the owner but had no response. I won’t be booking this place again.

Dirty but great location
Property was very dirty - didn’t appear to have been cleaned at all for some time. Couch upstairs smelled and was covered in pet hair. Floors were filthy. Cupboards were dirty inside and out. Outdoor furniture covered in dust and cobwebs. Table had crumbs and coffee cup rings that hadn’t been wiped up. Downstairs bedroom is converted at the end of the garage and need to share one of the two ensuites. Generally rundown and dirty. Saving grace was the great location. Owner did leave some wine and flowers which was thoughtful. Do not recommend.
This property has 3 levels.
Ground consists of a double carpark garage with a very big and spacious family room with aircon and 1 toilet. Laundry is located on the ground floor level.
2nd level has two rooms and a family area, 1st room is the main with ensuite and walk in storeroom/robe, there is a toilet located on this level and the 2nd room also has an ensuite. (Note the aircon for this level was not working 22/2/24-24/2/25)
3rd level is the kitchen living room with access to two outdoor areas, working aircon, TV, fridge, dishwasher,4seat table and chairs and a big lounge.
FYI- make sure you double check the garage roller door before leaving. (it’s temperamental and will reopen) also if you run out of hot water you can contact the apartment manager and he will give you directions on how to boost the system. Contact details can be found up stairs on the kitchen table.
Over our family give the stayz accommodation an 7. For personal differences of opinions

With a little more effort it could have been much better
Location was good. Host promptly answered questions prior to visit. Beds seemed clean.Not suitable for people with small children, dust allergies, low mobility or if you want to host others for dinner or a coffee.On arrival bench and table were sticky and had crumbs, the living area floor was dirty and needed sweeping. There were old lemons in the fridge. The dust on the TV cabinet and a/c vents were noticeably thick. An extra lounge has been squeezed onto the top floor making it cluttered and uncomfortable for 6 people. The dead bamboo plants in the light well gave off a faint rotting smell, doors had to be left open to stop the smell building up. Balcony chairs were usable but the plants were neglected, making the spaces cluttered and unpleasant to use. The BBQ hot plates were not in place and dirty. The kitchen was well equipped.Some towels smelt of body odour and needed washing. On the middle level a heater didn't work, and other heaters were very dusty To use the air con I had to find the distribution board down stairs and the switch the circuit on. The bottom weight baring timber of the picture frame hung over the master bedhead had been repaired with tape. This was in sufficient and the acrylic panel came out of the frame and hang over the occupants' heads while they slept (we took it down).On the ground floor a chair collapsed on a 6 year old, leaving them with a grazed leg and the bottom bathroom is really only a toilet. The cistern leaked onto the floor.
