Merigold 21 — Your Front-Row Seat on Collins Street

Right on Collins Street, in the middle of Melbourne's CBD, this one puts you within walking distance of restaurants, theatres, shopping and transport — genuinely in the thick of it, not just claiming to be.

Worth knowing upfront: it's in a heritage building with traditional windows, so expect a bit of typical city noise. Most guests love the buzz, but if you're a very light sleeper, this might not be your best fit. We'd rather tell you now than have you find out at 11pm.

The Space

What You Actually Get

Despite being a studio on paper, the split-level layout gives the bedroom its own separate feel, with large block-out blinds keeping things private and dark when you want them to be. The apartment is boutique-styled with contemporary furnishings, quality linen and towels, and a kitchen with genuinely ample storage — not the token studio setup you might expect. There's a Hisense Smart TV with Netflix and a coffee machine for the mornings you're not heading straight out. A pull-out double bed tucks away beneath the raised bedroom if you need to fit in a couple of extras.

The Location, Without the Spin

You're on the doorstep of Brunetti, Degraves Street and the City Library, with tram stops just 100m away on Collins St, or around the corner on Swanston St. Trams within the city grid are free, so getting around costs nothing. Chinatown is a short walk, and Melbourne Central, Bourke Street Mall, Carlton Gardens, Melbourne Museum, Crown Casino, the Emporium, Federation Square and the aquarium are all within easy walking distance. Flinders Street Station is a short stroll too, if you want to head further afield.
