Top Melchsee-Frutt Hotel Reviews
Hotel Alpenhof
10/10 Excellent
"Nice hotel with nice view"
HERMITAGE Lake Lucerne - Beach Club & Lifestyle Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"The view is absolutely stunning at this hotel. We picked it to be away from the crowds in the center of Lucerne and the hotel provides free bus passes during the stay so transportation was super easy to get to all the main sights and hiking spots. Great shower, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, razor and tooth brush which was really nice. Room was impeccably clean every day as well. We went in the summer and the AC unit was in an odd location so it didn't circulate through the room well and we had to make sure the curtains were closed so it wouldn't overheat the room during the day. Overall would absolutely stay here again and recommend it to friends"
Hotel Kreuz & Post
10/10 Excellent
"So convenient to train station (especially helpful upon arrival/departure with luggage) also very accessible to other points In Grindelwald. Nightly live music was enjoyable, even from balcony. Staff extremely nice and helpful. On site laundry is a plus (but it gets backed up with 3 washer/dryers, plan ahead)."
Radisson Blu Hotel, Lucerne
10/10 Excellent
"It is very convenient. walking distance to train station, cruise piller, restaurants."
Astoria Lucerne
8/10 Good
"Convenient hotel location. The rooms are a bit small but ok. Please put a door to separate the bathroom from the room. It’s extremely uncomfortable and weird to not have one and that can be easily fixed. Other than that, all and all good."
Frutt Mountain Resort
10/10 Excellent
"We spent a week here for our anniversary and the setting is hard to beat. The resort is spotless, the lake and mountain views are postcard-perfect, and the staff were warm and welcoming from the moment we arrived. If you want quiet, clean air, and scenery, this delivers. The tradeoff is isolation. Getting anywhere else in Switzerland means long drives on winding mountain roads, and the access road is single-lane with scheduled up/down windows, so you can’t come and go on a whim. Dining options on the mountain are limited and served at set times, which takes some planning if you have kids or a different eating schedule. Go in expecting a self-contained mountain retreat rather than a base for exploring the region, and you’ll love it. We did."
Eiger Lodge Easy
10/10 Excellent
"Since it was summer, the warmer temperatures meant that we had to open the windows to allow air to circulate and keep the room comfortable. This unfortunately also meant that noise from the surrounding areas was more noticeable. One thing we could have done differently was request a fan earlier. We only learned that fans were available and requested one on our last night, so we were unaware of this option during the earlier part of our stay. Our room was adjacent to the restaurant and cafeteria. Although these areas were closed, some guests continued to sit in the eating area and chat until around midnight. We found the noise quite disruptive, especially when we were trying to sleep. We had assumed that 10 p.m. would generally be considered a reasonable time for quiet hours. As a suggestion, the hotel may wish to consider implementing a clear quiet-hours policy after 10 p.m., particularly for common areas located near guest rooms. A gentle reminder to guests to keep conversations and noise to a minimum after 10 p.m. would help create a more comfortable and restful environment for everyone. Overall, we appreciate the efforts of the hotel and hope this feedback can help improve the experience for future guests."
