"This is a must stay in St. John’s! It was such an interesting place and felt very homey. The owner, Bill, is very approachable and kind. The building has a very interesting history. It was so cool to stay in this Victorian styled home! It is walking distance to downtown, the rooms, and Signal Hill! Great location. Would 100% recommend this to people seeking to stay in a place with historic significance and homey feel! "

"Hospitality was a 10/10, as a solo female traveller I felt very safe and cared for during my stay, truly felt like I was staying at a family’s place. "I had a king room on the 12th floor. It was quiet and spacious. The nice big shower was so appreciated after long days walking around the city. The location is close (walking distance) to all the activity on George Street, the Mary Brown Centre as well as a quick walk to Water Street to catch public transit."

"The Leaside is a classic manor in excellent condition. Beautiful wood used throughout. The breakfast was great. Bacon, eggs and toast. Cereal and yogurt available also. Very friendly staff. Great location."
