The hotel itself and our room were great. The room was clean and very spacious. However, check-in and check-out were beyond awful. There is nothing on the site saying that they don’t accept cash, which was a bad surprise considering that’s all we had. I was also informed that our stay would be $50 more than what we had reserved the room for (a deposit for incidentals). So we had to go to Kroger to add money to my PayPal card. The hotel wasn’t able to use my papypal card for whatever reason, so I had to spend $3 to move it to another card. Though it was not the hotel’s fault, that move took 30 minutes to process which just added to the chaos. I was finally able to check in and was able to enjoy the room. At check-out, I waited for 20 minutes before I was able to flag down a cleaning lady to go get someone to come to the desk. The guy told me that my $50 would be released automatically and gave me a receipt for the original price (without the $50 incidental fee). Then, when we finally get to our car, we have a paper on the windshield saying that we needed to pay for parking… in the hotel parking lot?! Why pay for a room, an additional $50 fee that I was not informed of beforehand, AND pay to park??? Now it’s been 5 hours, and the $50 still hasn’t hit my card. I e contacted the hotel and they say it’s released, but Venmo says otherwise. This has been the most stressful hotel stay I have ever had. I really enjoyed the room but all the added stress is not worth it.
