You`ll find it hard to believe that this modern studio apartment is in the middle of an 8 unit apartment building from 1912. Unfortunately the previous condition didn`t allow us to leave much so why not spice it up a bit! Clean lines, sharp edges, and a bright space through-out make this apartment not just a place to stay, but an experience. Basically brand new everything with a modern vibe, minus the windows because old windows are just flat out cool when the light hits them; enjoy.
It`s stocked with all the essentials (kitchen spices, bathroom soaps and shampoo and linens). The bright colors give it an airy vibe even though it is a small studio. You`ll also find free shared laundry in the basement where there are two washing machines and two dryers.
This apartment is on the second floor and closest to the rear of the property. You can access it from either the front entry, up the stairs and down the hall, but it`s probably quicker to park in the private parking in back and use a rear entry.
You will have full access in the apartment; there are no locked doors or cabinets.
You`ll receive a digital code a three days before your arrival for the front door which means that 24 hour check-in is no problem at all! Any questions and we can be reached 24 hours a day by sending us a quick message.
I will send you a text with a link to my guidebook I`m working on before your arrival but you will also have additional information inside the apartment with contacts, transportation and other general info
Walk out the front door and 100 yards down the street brings you to a bustling corner with a jazz restaurant, Moroccan and Mexican restaurants and, of course, a delicious BBQ joint. Keep walking or take a short uber another .75 miles to Overton square, one of Memphis` most happening areas with a host of other restaurants and bars.
Head downtown the other direction in a short uber ($6) and you`ll find yourself engulfed in Memphis` blues scene on the famous Beale street.
In addition to the many great eateries (which you`ll find in the guidebook i`ll send you) there are several parks nearby and places to relax.
Uber or Lyft are readily available and definitely the best option.
There is a trolley that runs down Madison and will bring you to downtown if you want a little more of a historic experience heading downtown.
This is part of an 8 unit apartment building and this apartment is on the second floor.
There is also a large patio in the front of the property on the second level which you are welcome to use and relax on :)
