We rented the house for three nights and really loved our time. It gives a bad first impression because unlike the title on the listing there is nothing luxurious about the house at all. It’s a well maintained house the seems to be built in the mid 80’s or early 90’s and has had very few updates. The furniture is hodgepodge and none of it is nice or in great condition. The bed and bedding is just average. All this said it was comfortable, spacious, in the redwoods with a hot tub and a five minute drive to Mendocino village. As an added bonus the kitchen was well adorned, which was nice. We bought fruit and veggies at the Friday farmers market and they were absolutely amazing to cook with. The house manager seems to do a good job and the management company seemed very on top of things. There were lots of towels and they had extra heaters you could use in the bathroom or whatever. We didn’t want to leave. I would give it five stars if the fireplace use wasn’t prohibited (seems to be an HOA restriction related to fire prevention, but it’s a gas fireplace so I can’t see why it isn’t allowed). Note Orbitz drops you once you book this, they refer you to VRBO if you have any issues.
