The Tower is located in the Mendocino National Historic District, a short walk from restaurants, beaches, shopping, spas, galleries, and local wine, film, mushroom, whale, and film festivals. Little River Airport and golf course are less than 5 miles.

LOCATED IN THE HISTORIC DISTRICT OF MENDOCINO, unlike many so- called 'Mendocino' listings that are miles from town. The Tower offers well-appointed accommodations for 1 or 2 couples or a small group with pretty garden and ocean views. Stretch your travel budget by preparing some of your meals in the cheerful kitchen or walk to one of the fine local restaurants. The fenced garden creates a peaceful environment and accommodates bikes, kayaks, and children. Smoke-Free environment. No pets, please.

Great getaway

I’ve been coming to Mendocino for many years. This time came with a buddy to do some hiking restaurants. We were greeted by our friendly host and quickly sank into our comfortable space.Plenty of room and very quiet location. A big plus!Enjoy your stay here, we did.

Wonderful Water Tower

This is my fifth or sixth time here, there’s hardly any other place in Mendocino I would stay. Super quiet, wonderful hosts, great location, comfortable beds, gorgeous garden to sit in. Three blocks from everywhere in Mendocino Village, yet close to the headlands and ocean.

Garden Paradise

The water tower was in a lovely neighborhood with a quick walk to restaurants, shops and the beach. The garden was peaceful and beautiful with lovely flowers and birds. Would stay here again.

Water Tower repeat stay was a pleasure

Second time at the Mendocino Water Tower and once again we enjoyed our stay. Beautiful accommodations and love the water views from the windows facing the Pacific. Enjoyed the restaurants in town & the well-equipped kitchen. Many nearby shops to walk to and opportunities not far away for hiking in state parks and Point Cabrillo lighthouse. Appreciate the responsiveness of the property manager.

Comfortable stay at Mendocino Tower

This was such a wonderful, unusual place, a converted water tower with three levels of living space. Wonderful ocean views, beautiful garden outside the living room and close to restaurants and shops in Mendocino! The view from the roof is amazing. We really enjoyed our stay!

Lovely and relaxing

This was the break I needed. Comfortable home; complete kitchen; beautiful private garden; central location; ocean views; off-street parking; quiet, dark nights for good sleeping. I appreciated the small touches: ceramic plates in kitchen (instead of the scratched plastic so many vacation rentals have), a vase of fresh calla lilies on the kitchen table, fluffy warm quilts, etc.

Mendocino Delight!

The water tower was great fun, was very well appointed and accommodated our daughter, my husband and I very comfortably. Weathering the epic storm over the weekend, Diane and Adrien took very good of care of us! I would definitely recommend this delight as THE place to stay in Mendocino.

Another great trip to Mendocino and the Water Tower

We’ve been coming here for years and it’s always great. The new owners are keeping up the house and garden well. The town is busy again with some new shops and many of the same restaurants. The cliff walks and forest hikes were delightful as always. Hopefully we’ll back same time next year!

Mendocino Perfection

Walk to shops and restaurants. We hiked Russian Gulch and Jughandle state parks, enjoyed the play, Ripcord, across the street, Pt Arena almost full moon lighthouse tour and the dahlias at the Botanical gardens.

Our Tower Trip

This a magical place ! Whether contemplating one’s day amidst the garden with the help of Anna’s hummingbirds or surveying the whole of Mendocino from the railing of the water tower, my wife and I depart physically rejuvenated and mentally refreshed beyond our expectations. FANTASTIC VENUE

Share a part of history by staying in one of the grand Water Towers in Mendocino. Perfect, tip top condition. Fully renovated with modern conveniences! A few blocks away from a bustling Main Street with shops and tempting restaurants and yet a quiet and peaceful location. No need for a car. Stroll down the lane and get a full view of the extraordinary Mendocino architecture. Perfect stay with no complaints!

Family getaway

We lived this property. Being right in the village for our short stay was so convenient and the views from the tower were very cool. We all loved the beautiful garden setting, and the Mendocino Headlands trail was right down the street. We traveled as a family with our two young boys. Though the space is a bit tight, the history and charm of the property, and the novelty of climbing to each room outweighed the lack of interior space by far for all of us. It was a beautiful Mendocino experience.

Just the place I want to stay in Mendocino.

Everything was just as described. The garden around the tower was very nice and many fine bird and flower pictures were taken. The bed downstairs was a bit of a puzzle at first, but user error accounted for that. There were four of us, and the kitchen was fine for this. Communications with the host were truly excellent. Fan over stove needs minor fix, but it works fine. I did not want to leave this property.

This is our fourth visit to the water tower, and it's been wonderful every time! One of our favorite things is the second floor bedroom, surrounded with light and the ocean view from the bed. We also love taking cocktails up to watch the sunset up from top of the tower.

Fantastic quaint place to stay in a wonderful location

Wendy and Don's place was wonderful. It was nice, clean, had a fantastic view, and was minutes away from the Mendocino coast. They were very gracious hosts and had everything we needed for the stay! Definitely recommend staying here.
