Beautiful private Tainter Lake Retreat in Western WI. Sleeps 10

Getaway with the whole family in our gorgeous Chalet style lake retreat! Or escape the hustle and bustle to enjoy a fun, relaxing, peaceful getaway for business or recreation. This property is at the very end of a private dead end road on a very large 1.4 acre lot. Sleeps 10 guests(8 adults maximum, 10 guests total). 3 bedrooms, large sleeping loft, 8 beds, 2 baths, 2 full kitchens and living rooms and an open concept on main floor with fireplace, very large walk out deck overlooking the lake. Large windows surround the house to enjoy all the wildlife on the river and all around the property. Great for multi family vacations.

You'll love the durable laminate floors, granite countertops, large window views and rustic but modern feel that makes this place so cozy!

The property is located within a quick on foot stroll to Western Wisconsin's premier supper club, Jake's. Jake's has three decks and a fabulous Tiki bar over looking the lake with live bands every weekend in the summer months. Pioneer Bar & Grill is across the road from Jake's Supper Club, in a country setting with great entertainment!

There are nearby restaurants that are accessible by water or land.
Elk Point Resort is easy access by boat or vehicle. Elk Point Resort has karaoke every Saturday night and put on the BEST firework show every year on July 3rd. Great food and fun atmosphere!

Tainter Lake is approximately a 1605 acre lake located in Dunn county. It has a maximum depth of about 37 feet. Depending on the weather in the summer months, the water clarity can be low due to algae growth. Later in the summer months this lake tends to get a bit green. May until early July are the best months to enjoy swimming. Still a great size lake for boating, kayaking and fishing!

Really enjoyed our time at this cabin over Christmas. We had 3 generations that were able to gather for the holiday. The kids loved the loft space. The large dining table allowed us to have nice meals together and play lots of board games. The place was decorated beautifully! We stay at many VRBO’s and we can tell when people put their heart into a place. This was one of those places. Thank you for sharing your space with our family.

A wonderful cabin in the woods

We had a wonderful, relaxing long weekend with family and friends. The cabin was wonderful and exactly as shown. Nicely decorated and beds were very comfortable. We loved the patio with fire pit and my little nephews had fun learning to fish down at the lake. This is a great place for family and friends to gather.

Great family lake house

We enjoyed our stay! The loft was great for my son and his 3 cousins to sleep with each of them in their own beds! The kitchen was well equipped, so we cooked breakfast and dinner! Because the weather wasn’t great we enjoyed staying in and playing board games and card games with the kids!

Great stay!

My friends and I stayed at this location for a couple nights and it was great! They allowed us to use some of their firewood, which was nice due to the weather. Great driveway for beanbags. Close to restaurant and a bar to walk to. The set up was, great inside as well. We will probably look to stay there again next year.

Spacious and lovely

Eight women stayed for a three day weekend. The house was perfect for our needs with lots of beds and two kitchens! The setting is peaceful and beautiful. We spent one evening on the deck relaxing and listening to night noises. The flowers are stunning and much attention has been given to ensure you’ll have everything you need. We will be back!

WI vacation

I booked this stay for my family that was coming into town for my wedding. They came all the way from both Ohio and Arizona and after a long trip this was the perfect place to relax. Very clean and smelled absolutely AMAZING as soon as you walked through the door. Stunning property! Communication was quick and everything about the stay was clearly communicated both by message and by paper when we got to the house. Wonderful family getaway

This Tainter Lake Retreat was truly a wonderful experience for bringing family together for a summer getaway. The hosts were so accommodating and easy to work with and our experience at the cabin were more than exceeded. We enjoyed the size of the home to have the different families each have a separate space but then a large main area to gather and enjoy. We loved having the two kitchens to help prop for some larger meals. The place was very clean and well maintained. We loved our time cruisong on the water as it really is a beautiful lake. The property is beautiful on the end of the private drive.

Awesome lake house stay!

Our family stayed here a full week and loved it! We enjoyed campfires in both settings(front of house and by the lake), spent hours on the lake kayaking, fishing and swimming, hit the town for thrifting and the Devil's Punch Bowl and spent hours on the decks reading, relaxing and enjoying the wildlife around us! The kids caught all kinds of fish including 6 different species and we were able to have a big fish fry at the end of the week. Teresa was a great host who responded quickly to texts and answered any questions we had. It was a great vacation for all of us with 7 kids ranging in ages 10-20!
