Summer Specials @Dixieland Delight!!

Dixieland Delight is a spacious cabin on 1 acre large enough for the whole family to enjoy yet cozy enough for 2!

Our cabin is located less than 3 miles from all the shopping and restaurants in the quaint and utterly adorable town of Mentone, AL on beautiful Lookout Mountain.

Whether you are looking for a long weekend of quiet seclusion or a place to rest your head between the many outdoor activities located within a short distance, Dixieland Delight is the perfect place for you!

Travelling with a smaller group or multiple groups? Check out Dixieland Delight's little sister, Southern Star! Located within walking distance of each other you have a chance to book both cabins, if available, and have easy access to your entire group with plenty of space for everyone!

Living Room:
The floor-to-ceiling wood-burning fireplace is the center piece for the comfy living room. The entire family can cozy up on the huge reclining leather sectional and warm up by the fire while playing board games or streaming your favorite shows on the large screen TV.

Dixieland Delight does have fast WiFi for streaming or if you must, working!

Kitchen and Dining:
The kitchen is well-equipped with everything you need to make a delicious holiday meal! There is a Keurig with pods, a drip coffee maker and even a tea kettle and air frier!

There is a dining table and 3 bar stools for additional seating for all of your family meals.

Bedrooms and Bathrooms:
Dixieland Delight has 3 bedrooms and 2 full baths. Downstairs has a full-sized bed that has its own door leading out to the screened-in back porch. You can watch deer roam through the backyard from the comfort of your comfy bed.

Also downstairs is a bunk room with 2 sets of bunk beds, making this the perfect space for multiple families, large families, couples and small families alike.

A full bathroom with a tub and shower combo is downstairs.

Upstairs is the master suite with an extra-comfy queen-sized bed and huge a bathroom complete with double sinks, a large soaker tub and stand-alone shower.

Outdoors:
There is an open front porch with a swing to enjoy the sunrises and a screened-in back porch with tons of seating for the entire family to watch the multitude of deer and other wildlife that frequent the property.

A BBQ grill is available for use as well as a fire pit area with a picnic table perfect for roasting hot dogs and making s’mores!

There are 2 security cameras located outside of the cabin. 1 is located at the front door and one on the side of the house pointing out to the parking lot. These are only to monitor cleaning and maintenance contractors.

Dixieland Delight has all you need for a picturesque vacation on top of Lookout Mountain. Memories are waiting to be made at Dixieland Delight!

Dixieland Delight was a true "Delight"!

Location was perfect, it was clean, beds were comfy, kitchen was well furnished and the fire pit was awesome!! We had a wonderful stay at this cabin!

Great little weekend getaway

What a great place to stay. The cabin was just perfect. It was clean, well equipped, quiet, comfy beds, great water pressure, everything you need to build a fire and in a great location. I would book this place again for sure.

Nice stay

We enjoyed staying at the Dixieland Delight! The name of the cabin drew us to this place. And it fit our needs perfectly! Five of us old sisters, ages 67-75 enjoyed a few days of relaxation! Didn’t realize downtown is only open mainly on weekends, so we just visited the parks and really enjoyed the rest! We’ll be back!

Dixieland Delight

We stayed one night at Dixieland Delight. Beautiful cabin 10 min from downtown and had a great time sitting by a fire. Will book again on our next trip to Mentone.

Lovely, peaceful stay!

This was our first time in Mentone and it did not disappoint! Dixieland Delight was perfect for our family…everyone had a space to make their own and it was simply peaceful out there. We can’t wait to come back!!

Mentone Spring Break

We stayed here for a couple of nights during spring break. The cabin and its location were great! We enjoyed roasting marshmallows over the fire pit, and the cabin was so cozy and had everything we needed. We look forward to staying again in the future!

The perfect getaway

The cabin was the perfect place for our reading getaway. There were plenty of places for us to spread out and read. The cabin was secluded enough to feel like we were miles away from civilization but close enough that we could visit some of the cute shops and restaurants in the area. Our stay was so nice and relaxing and we would definitely stay here again.

Great cabin

Dixieland Delight was a true delight. The cabin was perfect size for our two families. Would love for it to have two Queen beds rather than one Full and one Queen, but the space was great. Fireplace was cozy and the large sofa fit most of our group. Location was excellent for us to be next to local family living there. We will rent this cabin again

Great stay

We enjoyed our stay at the Dixieland Delight--three friends who ran the Lost Falls 50k and a few family members. The beds were comfortable. The kitchen was well appointed, including plenty of dishes and high-quality pans for cooking. The neighborhood is beautiful and quiet with lots of wildlife.

Dixieland Delight is spot on.

Everything is as presented on the website. The place is beautiful, it makes for a great weekend get away. There are lots of wildlife around the cabin. The owners are as friendly as it gets and helpful. We will definitely be staying here again!

Weekend in Mentone

We had a delightful weekend in Mentone at the Dixieland Delight cabin. We sat on the back screened porch and watched it rain while eating a meal on the table out there. It was a great location for us to be able to explore Mentone and Desoto Falls.

Wonderful family spot!

Our family of 7 had a wonderful time in this adorable home in the woods. The home was clean, updated, and full of everything you would need when staying for a lengthy period of time. It was easy to communicate with the owner. It is near a beautful waterfall and yet has access to stores about 7 min away for any last minute grocery shopping. We would definitely stay there again!

Quiet and cute!

House and yard was beautiful! My 4 year old enjoyed the wooded area all around the cabin! House had everything we needed for a great vacation! The back porch was my favorite!! It rained a good bit while we were there and that back porch was so peaceful!!

Dixieland Delight Cabin

We only visited this beautiful cabin for one night but it was so worth the drive! It was so clean, comfortable, quiet and convenient! We got us a pizza, sat on the screened in porch and watched the deer! Definitely plan on visiting again when we can stay longer! Highly recommend!

Excellent Cabin

This cabin is wonderful. The inside is well laid out, clean, and has a lot of sitting areas. The outside of the property is just as wonderful. The land is relatively flat making it the perfect place for children to play, or if you have adults that have difficulty with steep terrain. The two porches and the fire pit area are perfect for making memories with the people you love.

Even better than expected!

We had a wonderful experience at Dixieland Delight. It was close enough to town to run out for dinner easily, but far out enough to enjoy peace and quiet. We saw deer and other wildlife every day of our stay. The cabin was very comfortable, with all of the little details remembered. We only had one small issue, and Kathleen instantly responded. We would highly recommend this property!

Nice quick getaway from Birmingham

The cabin was perfect for a quick weekend getaway for a small group of friends. It was well furnished with all the appliances you need in the kitchen. We also enjoyed the wood burning fireplace inside as well as the fire pit outside surrounded by comfortable benches. The endless supply of wood was a nice touch too. The owner was very prompt in responding to our texts. Even in the evenings. i appreciated that.
