-- THE LOCATION --
Deep in the woods, follow sandy trails to hunt for wild raspberries and the state flower, the Minnesota lady slipper. Along the private beach, search for the one in a hundred pebbles that is a semi-precious agate deposited each year by the winter ice. You can catch minnows with a net off the private dock, build sand castles, and bird watch for eagles and woodpeckers. The historic Grand View Lodge is down the road, offering 19th-century elegance in family resort vacations.
Spend long summer days recreating on your private beach area. Sunbathe, swim, and paddleboard on calm days. Walk only a mile down the road to access the lovely public sand beach. Your watercraft lets you cruise the calm water with your fellow travelers. Leave the shore beach and speed over the open waters by boat or Waverunner. Easily rent from Breezy Point Resort in Breeze Point located 7.5 miles away.
Breezy Point Resort also offers golfing at Whitebirch Golf Course, a picturesque 18-hole golf course designed by Arnold Palmer. Only 12.5 miles away, the Preserve Golf Course at Grand View Lodge is another scenic spot to perfect your golf swing.
For a night out, dine at numerous restaurants within a 4-to-10-mile drive from the property. Savor dinner lakeside at Breezy Point Resort or try restaurants found on other lakes such as Bar Harbor Supper Club. We had a lot of fun here. We would definitely make a trip back. This is a great place and location for families to stay. The communication with the owner was great too. The kitchen is a little small but we made it work!
The lake cottage is the perfect combination of vintage and modern ! The beds and linens were wonderful and soft . The updated bathrooms were great. The vintage kitchen was my favorite and had everything we needed. There large windows facing the lake allowed for amazing views!
Just 2 of us so we used the big bedroom and bath - part of the new addition and found that very nice. The kitchen was small - difficult to stash all our groceries and cook meals. I recommend planning very simple, easy meals.
The sunroom was on the opposite side of the house and smelled musty. We closed the door and didn't use that. The TV was in the sunroom and we couldn't get any channels to come in but it wasn't important to us to have TV.
We were not outside much - it was very windy and cool - down to 49 degrees F one night (mid August)!
There is no paved sidewalk from the parking spot to the cabin so suitcases with wheels were worthless.
All in all the cabin was quaint and the view was great. We liked the town of Nisswa.
Great property with amazing sunsets and lake view. We were a little disappointed that the canoe mentioned in the listing was unable to be located but, other than that, we had a lovely time.
The cabin was exactly as I was expecting based on listing. Nothing fancy, but clean which is all my wife and I needed. It was all about location on this particular trip. Having access to the boat lift was a unexpected but welcome surprise. Great views of the lake, and would be a great location for kids with waterfront and sand. Thanks for letting us stay!!

Pelican Lake
Cabin was very clean and had everything we needed for the holiday weekend. The main reason we picked this place was because of the dock. Which was very nice. Will definitely be back again. FYI. If you are bringing a boat make sure to launch it first as it is a very narrow road and turning boat around in driveway would be difficult.

Great location, but little things matter
Great location and beautiful clean lake. Disappointed with the cleanliness of the cabin. Trash receptacle was overflowing, cob webs over the dining room table, bathrooms and windows. Cabin also has a weird odor that smelled like pet urine or maybe a mustiness. I called the management services and they did pick up the overflowing trash. Management company is very responsive to any issues. I would suggest to make sure to pay close attention to checkin/out times before booking this property. Something I missed. The check in was the latest (4pm) and check out the earliest 10AM.
This cabin is perfect for a quiet family getaway! The shallow water off the beach and dock seems to go on forever, allowing the adults and the kids space to relax and play!
House was very clean. View was remarkable. Very quite. Outside shower was a bonus..
It was off major highway, very spacious, very quiet. Lake was nice.

Amazing Waterfront Cabin!
This cabin was amazing! Our 4 boys (12, 8 & twins 6) can't wait to go back! The water was clear and shallow for a LONG distance. They had so much fun! It was so nice to hear the slights waves at night. It felt like you were on a destination beach! The outdoor shower was a bonus and extra fun for the boys. Each room has a waterfront view from inside of the cabin. Next time, we would definitely bring water shoes for the boys.
Beautiful View and Spacious Cabin but waterfront not easily accessible
Loved the cabin and the view right on the lake. The cabin was plenty spacious, however it would have been nice to have stairs and a dock to the make the lake more accessible.
We absolutely LOVED our time at your cabin. The cabin is beautiful and unique. Loved the family history shared, we had a few chuckles. We made some of own family memories with the spacious cabin, large outdoor area and so close the beautiful, Pelican Lake. The weather was perfect so just added that much more joy to our weekend. Thank you for sharing your space.

Cozy, Family friendly cabin.
We enjoyed our getaway at this lake shore cabin. We loved the vintage kitchen as well as the updated main bedroom/bathroom. The cabin overall had everything we needed, but could be improved by adding an outdoor seating area. Everything in the description was accurate. The property was clean and well maintained, so we made sure to leave the way we came. The cabin is fairly close to a main town, so running to town was no issue for supplies needed which was nice. The lake was the perfect temperature at this time of year. It was also very clear and pretty much just sand once you got past the rocky shore. I would definitely rent this cabin again.
