"I booked the hotel for thirty days and ended leaving after 4 days. The pictures may look pretty and filtered, and the name sounds wonderful. But the experience was not, this place should be named Eden Encampment. How this is labeled as a 3 star hotel is beyond me. This is at most a 1 star hotel on its best day. It was advertised on hotel.com as having free wifi, to my dismay there was NO WIFI. The owner tried to play it off by providing me with a sim card 2 days later, I was charged for...

"Because we were only stopping for 2 nights we weren't too particular as to the room so chose the cheapest option but in retrospect we should have picked one next to the pool. We were in an annexe a 20meters away and it was a small room, though it did provide an effective ac unit, tea and coffee facilities, hit shower, clean towels both days, mosquito net, and it was clean and well presented. The main rooms surround the pool and are better proportioned. The owner and the staff are very pleasant...

"Ottima struttura per visitare e godersi la costa est di Zanzibar. Camere essenziali ma confortevoli, pulite e moderne. Staff super, Roberta e i colleghi ti fanno sentire davvero a casa. Il ristorante davvero ottimo sia per le colazioni sia per i pasti. Konokono Beach Resort and Isaraya Over Water Villa

"This resort is the closest I've been to a natural paradise. My stay was incredible in every possible way. The Isaraya overwater bungalows are beautifully decorated and you feel like you're living in your own personal paradise looking out onto the ocean, your private pool, and the fishermen who pass by. The food was amazing with lots of different choices of local dishes including fresh fish and fruits daily. The best part of all was the staff. They were so helpful, especially when you try to speak a few words in swahili, and will do all they can to serve you, even dinner on the beach, on request. Beatrice, the hospitality manager, was absolutely incredible and the kindness of the whole team will make your trip exceptional. It is very quiet there, day and night, which is what I was seeking, but no night life except a couple of evenings where there was music, so if you're wanting fun, I'd go elsewhere or you'll need to book a taxi every day. It is about 90 minutes from Stone Town or the spice farm, so most visits will be a full day trip due to the roads. Some people complain about the Maasai, but they guard the property. They made me feel safe, and they are lovely to chat to. Of course they'll try to sell you something, but just be polite, laugh with them, and negotiate, you'll be so glad you did because it'll add to your memories. I personally had an unforgettable stay and I can't wait to go back."

"My stay at Jaz Elite Aurora was nothing short of amazing. From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel truly welcome with their warmth and professionalism. The property is absolutely stunning, modern, spotless, and designed with comfort in mind. The food was excellent, offering a wide variety of fresh and flavorful options that catered to every taste. The pools, the beach access, and the overall atmosphere created the perfect balance of relaxation and enjoyment. Everything was exceptionally clean, and every detail was handled with care. What stood out the most was the hospitality. The team went above and beyond, making me feel valued. The chef even baked me a cake for my birthday and the staff sung to me. This isn’t just a beautiful resort, it’s a place run by genuinely kind people. I will definitely recommend Jaz Elite Aurora to anyone visiting Zanzibar. Thank you for an unforgettable experience! "

"This is my second time staying at Meliá, and it won’t be my last. It’s not only because the hotel and grounds are beautiful. It’s the staff, they are exceptional, they’re the most friendly, smiley, professional and provide amazing service. Every room is cleaned twice a day and I’ve left valuables lying around and everything has always been safe. My only complaint this time was that there was no working light in the shower but other than that everything was 10/10."
