This is a motel room with 2 full beds and is part of a 3-unit “court-style drive-up motel from days gone by”. The resort includes several other cabins along with this 3-unit motel. The property sits on 2 full acres and features lots of green space as well as 200 feet of waterfront on Ruth Lake
Along with your full bath, there is a shared outdoor space: the lakefront is available for your use, with 200 feet to enjoy. There is a patio by the water; bring your favorite lawn chair from home to relax by the shore. We do have a sandy beach and a beautiful swimming lake. We have a very nice lawn leading to the water with a patio to relax on and a fire pit for evening marshmallow roasts. We also have our own boat launch for you to launch your fishing boats and kayaks, with kayaks/paddle-boards available. Garage space for rainy-day activities.
Sauna w/ change room, fire pits, tandem kayak, covered outdoor kitchen, and socializing area (perfect for a small family event or socializing with other guests). Ice Maker in the shared garage kitchen.
We are right off of US 41, which will take you anywhere you want to go. Access out the door to Trail 8 for snowmobiling and ATV rides. The North Country Trail is a short distance for miles of hiking. Launch a small boat from our private boat launch for fishing or use the larger public launch for larger boats. Additional connecting Lakes by kayak are Lake George, Beaufort, and Petticoat.

The room was clean and had all the things we needed for passing through. It was great that it was pet friendly so our two fur babies could travel with us. Staff replied to our questions. Might stop on our way to are cabin in the summer!
This is a terrific property. And it’s close to a number of interesting things to go visit. But just hanging out at their lake around the fire was also wonderful.
The place was clean. Had very limited wifi, which is a good thing. Kids had fun in the lake and on the kayaks. Laundry, board games, and other activities are available. The only negative thing I can say is that the bed mattresses are very uncomfortable.Overall, we all enjoyed our stay. Thank you.
Overall it was a nice quant place and easy to access. It was about 45 minutes from Michigan Tech which made it easy to drop my student off. The mattresses left a little to be desired we kept rolling into the middle making it difficult for 2 people to sleep. Not sure if a foam mattress would be a better solution.
