"The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful. We had originally booked a stay somewhere else, and were very disappointed when we got there. We ended up leaving the place we originally booked, and so thankful that we found Mad River Lodge to turn around our weekend getaway. We would absolutely recommend and return in the future. "

"This is a great place. I have been coming for about ten years. The lodge has had many upgrades over the years that's made it even better. The new pool is great! The only thing is being charged so much for continental breakfast that has nothing but cold cereal, a few mini muffins, granola bars and yogurt. You use to do a nice continental with muffins, breads, fruits, boiled eggs, danishes. We did not eat breakfast here even being charged. We love the pontoon boat ( very reasonably price for one hour )"

"The cabin was perfect. We were just looking for a short getaway not too far from home. The details given for check in and the cabin /hot tub etc covered everything and made everything go smoothly. Beautiful cabin and views just as described. We had one minor question while we were there and were all set within 15 minutes. Met Jeff and Chester while we were there and both were a pleasure to meet. Can’t say enough about this trip, care of family doesn’t give us much time away, or the ability to go to far away. We definitely we will looking to stay again . "

"Family of 3 stayed for one night. The motel is nicely positioned in the town and the room was clean. The staff was very kind and knowledgeable of the area. For the price this was a very reasonable room and was above my expectations. My parents stayed at the Best Western down the road and I'd say that their room was on par with ours, but our room was larger. My only call out was the shower, the wall paper (it was like a linoleum) around the outside/over the inside of the shower was separating and water seemed to creep up it from the underside when the shower was on. We didn't smell any mold, but if this isn't fixed I could see it becoming an issue in the future. We were in room 12. "

"This is a great place to stay overnight or for several days! The rooms are nicely designed, and the fireplace in the lobby is a nice touch when thinking ahead to fall/winter. The highlight of the property is the multiple fire pits and seating areas down along the river. It was beautiful down there, and spending the evening along the river was exactly what I had hoped for. I will be staying again! "
