Beautiful historic home in Newport

  • Originally finished in 1836, Elmhyrst is a historic home literally straddling the border of Newport and Middletown. In fact, part of the property is actually in Newport.

    The four bedroom, three bathroom property was renovated between 2017 and 2021 with an eye towards preserving and restoring the original architectural details including furniture and art. The property is 4,000 SF.

    Town and Country (1949) wrote: “Elmhyrst is a flawless example of the chaste Greek revival, rare in Newport, and considered one of the best houses of this style in the state.”

    The home has been in the same family for over 100 years and they are thrilled to share it with the world!
