The “Captain’s Cottage” on Tuckerman Ave has just been completed in time for summer 2023! This stunning, yet charming newly remodeled home is located in an idyllic setting and is the perfect backdrop to your summer vacation in Newport. It boasts a bright and breezy open layout that abounds in natural light. The cozy kitchen features top of the line appliances, butcher block countertops, a convenient coffee station, and windows that look out at the lush, park- like setting. Take your morning coffee outside onto the spacious new deck and relax in comfortable seating while enjoying the privacy. Two off-street parking spaces are provided, as well as an extra space for day time visitors. Laundry is conveniently located on the main level. This home is located in the most ideal spot on all of Aquidneck Island. You'll love being able to walk to both First (Easton's) Beach and Second (Sachuest) Beach, as well as Newport's world famous Cliff Walk! You can also walk to several popular restaurants and shops, including Clementine's Ice Cream, Diego's Cantina, and Atlantic Grille for the best breakfast in town. Downtown Newport is only a 5 minute ride, or an ambitious walk away. Upon booking, I'll be happy to share the best sunset spot on the island so you can stroll down with an evening cocktail and take it all in. Each of the two bedrooms has a comfortable queen memory foam mattress. The primary bedroom contains a pocket door that opens up into the newly remodeled bathroom with a beautiful tile shower and tub. The home comes complete with everything you'll need - linens, towels, beach towels, paper goods, wifi, etc. There is a smart TV in the living room for movies, TV, or music. Just book your stay today and pack like you would for a hotel (if that hotel were located on Tuckerman Avenue, that is!)

Ryan was on top of everything: responded to requests in a timely manner. The house was very clean and the area nice and peaceful. Beautiful walk to the beach. Parking would be tight if you drive a large vehicle, but that’s not in the host’s control.

Perfect for a peaceful getaway

We had a wonderful stay! The house was immaculate and welcoming, the neighborhood is adorable, the location was ideal to reach First and Second Beaches, downtown Newport, and groceries, etc. in Middletown. We would stay here again without hesitation!

Cute Newport house

This house was clean and bright and a short walk to First Beach. The location was perfect - between the craziness of Newport and the quiet beaches. It was so nice to go out in Newport and come back to this cute house in a beachy quiet neighborhood.

Cozy clean and quiet

Very fresh and clean, lovely decor, made us feel cozy and comfortable. Wonderful fully stocked kitchen. Great location for beaches, walking/running, biking etc and a quick drive to downtown. This place is perfect if you prefer to stay a little away from the crowds and noise of the downtown area.

Great home and location

This is a very nice, cozy home. Super convenient to everything and in a nice development. Furnishings are nice, comfortable and home very clean. Communication with owner very good. Just, FYI - the mattresses I believe are the “Casper” type and thus quite soft.

Perfect getaway

Adorable, private spot near the beaches. It was a perfect fit for our family. You can walk to the beach and it’s minutes from downtown Newport. The owner was very responsive. We had a wonderful time and wish it was available again this summer!

Great location and exactly as pictured.

The house was exactly as you see in the pictures - very nice, very clean and comfortable. The location is perfect for walks and beach access. It’s in a nice neighborhood. The owners were very responsive, answering any questions quickly. They made getting in and out very easy. Overall, it was a great experience staying here, and we would definitely go back.

The location is perfect, the place provides everything you need, and perhaps most important to us...the property manager was a breeze to communicate with, and showed that they truly cared about us as tenants. That's all you can ask for! We will be back!

Lovely Home on Easton Point

The home was lovely! Clean and nicely decorated with a beach theme perfect for a beach stay. Easy walk to 1st and 2nd beaches. Also a great walk into town for coffees at Empire. The beds were very comfortable and the bathroom was large and new. The kitchen had SS appliances and plenty of dishes and cutlery. It was charming! We highly recommend this property and would love to stay here again! We were a group of 2 couples and our dog!😊😊😊

Great Location

We stayed for the week with our 8 and 6 year olds while my husband worked remotely from the house. The location was exactly what we were looking for. Easy walk to first beach, fun to ride bikes around the neighborhood, and quick drive to Newport or second beach. The only issue we had was with the beds not being very supportive. If you're a side sleeper or have back issues, you might want to consider staying somewhere else. Other than that, we had a wonderful week!

Great stay

Visited Newport/Middletown with my wife and pup for a bout a week. We were not first timers to the area and we’re looking for a place close to Newport that was near the beaches and had parking. Ryan’s place was perfect. Being able to bring the dog with us was also a huge advantage and Newport is a super dog friendly town that we love to bring our dog to visit. Ryan even stopped by during our visit to drop off extra coffee. This condo is in a nice little area with other similar buildings nearby. Everyone we met was super friendly and we’d definitely look to return and recommend a stay to others. Thank you Ryan!!

Location is prime!

My husband, myself, and our Cavalier King Charles Spaniel stayed at Captain's Cottage on Tuckerman for three nights as part of our September New England vacation. The location is wonderful, abutting Newport yet in a very special neighborhood just down the road, providing a quieter atmosphere. The photos in the listing are a match to the home when you arrive. It is very nicely decorated, and it is apparent that the owners were thoughtful about having their property present well for their renters.I especially appreciated the back porch. It was shady, private and comfortable! Ryan was attentive to questions and was easy to communicate with., as well. We had a delightful stay.

We had an excellent stay in Middletown. The home was in great condition. It was an easy 10 minute walk to the beach and we used the beach cart at the house. The AC kept the house cool and it was quiet at night. We had a quick question for Ryan and he responded quickly.

By the beach

This property is newly-renovated and modern. It was very clean. The surrounding neighborhood is beautiful and quiet which makes the walk down to the beach nice. Communication with Ryan was seamless. It’s located just a short walk to Easton Beach, and about a 5-7 minute drive into Newport where most of the restaurants and shops are. Overall our stay was very pleasant, would strongly recommend!
