"We stayed in the YURT on 8/17/26 and it was so cute. The bed was the most comfortable bed I've slept on in ages!!!! The check in process was a little frustrating at first only because we arrived around 9pm and it was dark. Because Buena Vista is a dark sky community, there isn't a lot of lighting throughout the camp, so it was difficult to see where we were going and what we needed to do in order to get checked in, and where to park once we found the yurt, My only suggestion is to have a couple of guest towels available inside the yurt for showers. We're traveling and don't carry towels like that with us but had been camping for 4 days and needed to shower. Since towels weren't available, we dried off with the big brown paper towels that were in the bathroom, Aside from that little thing, we enjoyed the stay and I would definitely book again!"

"Upon check in we liked how the property was decorated in mountain decor! The cabin was clean and offered a well stocked of kitchen. we liked how you could hear the water from one of the bedrooms from the creek below, very relaxing. We will return next year."

"We had a wonderful stay at River Haven! It was the perfect home for our family and such a relaxing place to unwind by the river. The backyard was one of our favorite features—we spent hours enjoying the patio, playing cornhole, and taking in the peaceful setting.The house was spotless, comfortable, and thoughtfully stocked with everything we needed, making our stay easy and enjoyable. It's clear the owners have put a lot of care into creating a welcoming space.We had an amazing time and are already looking forward to coming back. We highly recommend River Haven to anyone looking for a peaceful, family-friendly getaway!"

"My family and I have been coming to Colorado for 20+ years. We stayed in the same Cabin for 10+ years until we outgrew it. That Cabin is literally three doors down from this one. We loved the area so very much. So I am so happy that we found this house. This house was actually perfect for our family of 13 each family was able to basically have a floor to themselves. The main floor was perfect for our nightly dinners and canasta games. We loved feeding the very hungry hummingbirds every day. We made several trips up to see our friends at Saint Elmo General store and to feed the chipmunks. We also spent time jeeping up to the Pomroy and fishing there. We also fished the Hancock and the Arkansas river. The outdoor area of this house is fabulous. It was a great place for the children to run play and explore. We also were able to finally see a bear. There is a black bear who enjoys knocking over the trash cans every night. We come to Colorado every single year for two weeks the entire family. Lord willing, and if I can afford it next year, we will definitely be back to this house. That is how much we loved it."
