Pros: Nice house overall, good location, and the host was very responsive and attempted to address issues.Why the low rating?1. Cleanliness was lacking. Bathrooms showed signs of rushed cleaning, including hair and grime around tubs. We arrived to find cleaning supplies left out, a shower floor covered in grime, a water-filled trash bin on the shower floor, and stained bedding with hardened residue. To the host's credit, these issues were addressed the next day, but they should not have been present at check-in.2. On checkout morning, we washed clothes with plenty of time before departure. The washing machine malfunctioned and locked our clothes inside for hours. The cleaner, who was reportedly on the way, never arrived despite our waiting. We eventually used the emergency drain and had to transport wet clothes to our next rental in another city.3. The most serious issue involved the entry locks. The deadbolt used a keypad, but the doorknob also had a separate lock. After our first night, the knob was somehow locked, and the host did not provide a key, nor did he or anyone else. We had to hire a locksmith at our own expense, who could not arrive until the following day. Although the host offered another property, it would have cost us over 200 extra. Instead, we paid for a hotel while all of our belongings remained locked inside the rental. No compensation was offered. Ultimately, we paid for accommodations we could not access because no key existed for the lock.
