"Callaway Gardens has very nice cottages for rent that are spacious, clean, and quite Pleasant. As for the gardens themselves, we were less happy. The place is not properly named since they were not really Gardens there but rather large tracts of forest with Native azaleas, numerous Lakes and a large Golf Course. Our main problem with the place was getting around since the signage was often confusing and unclear. Certain exits were randomly locked, and forced us to turn around and hunt for another exit. The Butterfly House was pretty nice, and one of our grandson's went on the zip line which was actually very challenging and fun. All in all I would give the gardens a fair rating"

"Beautiful, comfortable hotel overlooking the Chattachoochee River. Great details and amenities. Close to downtown Columbus. I would also recommend having dinner at their restaurant on the property, Millhouse Kitchen + Bar. "

"Made a reservation three weeks ago. On April 8, 2026, a verification phone call was made, and they had no record of my reservation. Attempting to use their overseas contract employee, and he, in his broken English, would not give me the original price, but ninety dollars more, stating LaQuinta was almost full, and that was the reason for the increased price. I tried over and over to cancel this reservation, as he had my credit card number. He finally found the original price quoted. He was told just to cancel everything that I did not want his service. "The AC unit was so loud. It sounded like a washing machine on spin mode and difficult trying to fall asleep. Hair was on the sheets in different areas. Overall ok but won't be back. "
