You can also see Sarbinowo, Chłopy, Mielno and Unieście. The historic building is almost 140 years old. The light of the lighthouse in good weather is visible to sailors on passing ships at a distance of 36 km or 19.5 nautical miles. It is the second largest lighthouse on the Polish coast. The tower is located right in the centre of a picturesque holiday village. The first mention of Gąski dates back to the 17th century. At present there are more than 400 residents. Next to the tower stands the house of the lighthouse keeper, nearby stalls offering food and souvenirs. It's just one small step to the sandy beach with crystal clear water. Green clay deposits can be found in the vicinity. This natural raw material is used in cosmetic and treatment procedures. It's impossible to be bored in Gąski. Hikers are attracted by the 7-hectare historic park in which they can find beech trees, sawara cypresses and silver maples. The park is flanked by the mid-19th century neoclassical buildings of the Pałac Morski (‘Marine Palace’ - currently an all-year-round resort hotel). Every year in August the "Gąski" Association of Local Development organises the "Roasted Goose Feast" that is full of goose dishes. The festival is accompanied by numerous sports activities, dance parties and fun activities for the kids.
