"I honestly choose a resort, but I accidentally choose this area. However, I would recommend for those who are low budget travelers but who are willing to take a break and rest in their amazing hot springs. They do have hiking trail, but it is the best not to go in the midst of rain. You will slip and get yourself all muddy. I learn that that hard way. You can walk around the town, but honestly, there is not too much to see aside from the church and cemenetry.The church had an interestingsaint...

"this is for the adventerous, dont get scare on the way there the roads are a little rough due to the hotel still being developed. Chef Marcelo is a plus for this hotel and Sol as well. The entire staff is extremely friendly and helpful."

"This lodge is located off the beaten track. It takes about 20 min to get here from Mindo on a narrow dirt road. The accommodation is basic but nice. Staff is small but very attentive. My cabin was spacious with one queen sized bed and three single beds (two of them in a loft). Nature around the lodge is beautiful."

"This is a fantastic hotel. Very peaceful and beautiful, located in the jungle on a hill side next to the river. From the cabins there is a great view over the beautiful garden and tree tops. The river water is clear and perfect for a swim. The service and hospitality is outstanding. "

"We were so glad we chose the Margarit for our stay in Mindo! Margarita and her staff were wonderful hosts who made sure all our needs were met. Our room was lovely, sparkling clean and comfortable, and the breakfasts and other meals were great. The location was perfect - nestled in the trees, allowing us to watch birds from our room and from the lobby, but within easy walking distance from town. "
