Distinctive hundred year old house, with beautiful hard wood floors, and stone porch, original arts & crafts architectural detail, directly across from Woodmont beach. This 3500 sq ft home has 6 bedrooms and 3.5 Bathrooms, formal dining room and fully equipped eat-in kitchen. Living room has grand fireplace (gas). Baby grand piano in living room. Home office and wifi for those who need to work. It's a great house for beach vacationing, family reunions, or work retreats. Enjoy sunrises and moonrises over the water. Great breezes and views from the enclosed wrap-around screened in porch, or from the many windows overlooking the beautiful water. Third floor has futon bed for extra sleeping space if needed and playroom ideal for kids. Cozy TV den next to kitchen, lovely backyard garden, outdoor shower for use after the beach. Entire house is newly renovated, with option to use central air. Washer and Dryer in laundry room, 2 Dishwashers, all linens provided, weber grill. Ping Pong Table. Beach, Long Island Sound and fishing off the pier directly in front of the house! Circular driveway for at least 4 cars. 10 minutes from Milford Metro North Train Station; 20 minutes from New Haven Metro North or Amtrak Station (with car rental available); 20 minutes from New Haven. 5 minutes from Yale West Campus.

Wonderful large house right on the beach

Fantastic large rambling house perfect for having a family reunion. The location is fantastic as it is right across the street from the beach. Our host Debbie was very responsive and gracious. We would definitely stay here again!

A perfect getaway and the beach isn’t crowded because there’s no strip of stores, just private homes. Quiet and beautiful.

Beautiful spot and great house

The house was much bigger than expected. It was clean and well stocked. The location is beautiful. My family had a wonderful time. I’d highly recommend this house for family gatherings.

Close to the beach

We loved the house. Great for multifamily visit. Property is right across the road to the beach. The beach was never busy, as it were our private beach. Deb was a fantastic host. We will be staying again for sure

Reunion gathering

Great house and beach a few steps away ! We loved all the neat rooms and it’s overall character. Plenty of space to spread out Quiet neighborhood and beautiful view Stairs a bit creaky but fine as we all wanted to get up together and spend as much time together as possible after 30 years Ping pong a bonus !

Anniversary Trip

We had a great stay at this home. It was wonderful and quirky in the way all 100+ year old homes can be. Lots of space for all of us. We were a big group from 3 to 83 years old. The porch was our favorite spot watching the water and all the neighbors who walked by, many stopping to chat. Shared great meals in the large dining room and even had a ping pong tournament. Loved that the outdoor shower has a hot water setting. Just loved it.

Great place for a large family

I'm one of 11 children. We all live out of town except my brother whose 70th birthday we were celebrating. The house held all of us who were able to make it, spouses and 3 grandchildren. Spacious, clean, plenty of room for us to have conversation and relax. The large windows are really wonderful. You can't beat the views. Books galore! We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

Delightful!

What a fabulous house! I just happen to adore the arts and crafts style so I was already thrilled, but the house was so much more! The art work and collectibles and books - everything was so unique and interesting! My 7 year old granddaughter was fascinated by much of the art on the walls. I felt like I was in "Downton Abbey". We loved it! We enjoyed the beach across the street and Silver Sands State park. Our favorite pastime was sitting on the front porch watching the people, fancy cars and dogs go by and looking at the water and ospreys. I saw my first monk parrot in a big nest down the street. It was a wonderful vacation. Thank you Deborah, you made everything so easy!

Perfect for extended family get together

Grandma, brothers, children and grandchildren all stayed together with spouses. The home offered ample room and the kitchen was fully stocked for great family dinners. The view of the sound is amazing, the architecture is breathtaking and the decor is eclectic and well traveled. There are fascinating books to enjoy and few board games as well. We brought a crib with us for the baby and it is worth noting that there is one master with a private bathroom and one hall bathroom on the second floor. There is a half bath on the third floor perfect for taking care of the nightly routine and a shower and bathroom on the first floor, mostly for washing sand and dirt off prior to entering the house. I mention this only to let those traveling as couples that they should expect to share the bathrooms with the exception of the master. We would stay as a group again.

Beautiful property, elevator does NOT work and needs a deep clean

The house is delightful - quaint, beautiful, and in an incredible location. The garden is divine and there are so many places to relax and visit. There is a lot of cool art from across the globe (I bet the owners are fascinating folks!) but the place could use a good dusting on the shelves, blinds, etc. The biggest problem is that we specifically searched for a property with an elevator because I have a disability and the elevator was not only marked out of order, it was nailed shut at the top and said "Not for Renter's Use" or something on the door as well. That left my friend lugging up all of our baggage (no BRs on the ground floor) and me navigating very steep stairs with sharp turns that are tucked into the corners of the house. I would love to come back and stay, but the elevator situation was a severe disappointment. Good thing I was having a "good" week and not in a wheelchair. :(

Beautiful and unique house in a beautiful setting

The house is beautiful, and one of the most unique and homey places we have everything stayed. Very spacious with lots of artwork, and arts and crafts style woodwork. The view of the sound is so serene. We enjoyed very much sitting out on the porch and gazing at the water and the passerbys, and taking walks along the sound. It has everything you need and then some. Thank you so much for sharing your gracious and beautiful home with us!

College graduation weekend

We had a magical stay in this truly enchanting home the beds were comfortable. The kitchen well equipt for entertaining a large crowd. The fire place and piano were the backdrop for many intimate moments. The gardens were beautiful with azaleas and many perennials. The location directly across from the beach allowed for many walks and playtime together and the waves sung us to sleep at night. We would love to make a new family tradition for visiting here again and again.

A perfect home for our reunion

The Arts and Crafts home was more beautiful than the pictures reflected! We loved all of the details in the woodwork, hidden little corners, tons of space to spread out and wonderful places to gather together. Having recently sold our "family home" we were thrilled to find this home in which to have a mini- family reunion. The kitchen was incredibly well-stocked- from serving platters to garlic powder to paper towels...We had everything we needed. The gas fireplace created a beautiful focal point and the kids enjoyed all the games (especially Connect Four and Jenga).We all loved staying at the Art and Crafts home in Milford- it was a unanimous decision to try to come back next year!!

Great Stay with an accommodating host

The weather was unfortunately uncooperative however the house is wonderful to still allow for personal space. The host was super attentive to any needs or concerns we had. We will be returning next year.

Great host, great views

The house is so well suited to a small group. The kitchen is fully stocked. The location is magnificent - right across the street from the beach. We really appreciated the EV charger. The front porch is the perfect place to relax and watch the world go by. Our host was so friendly and accommodating and easy to work with. Responded very quickly to all messages. Highly recommend.

Perfect Getaway

We had an absolutely fantastic long weekend at this spacious and beautiful house near the beach! It was a perfect getaway for our extended family, with ample room for everyone to spread out comfortably. We enjoyed leisurely walks by the beach, cozy evenings gathered around the fireplace, and breathtaking views that truly enhanced our stay. The house was impeccably clean and well-maintained, exactly as advertised. We couldn't have asked for a better retreat. Lovely house

We loved staying at this house. The elevator was important to me & was perfect for my arthritic knees. The house had so much character & the views were outstanding. A lot of time was spent on the front porch looking at the amazing view of the sound. Definitely will stay here again.
